iOS 27.3 has just entered beta testing and includes major new features for Siri AI across iPhone, iPad and Mac. The company has unlocked many new capabilities across major Apple apps, like Music, Messages, Safari, Reminders and more.
We are still digging into the beta, but here’s a taste of what new things you can get Siri AI to do:
With the Music app, you can now create playlists and save them to your library, like you can ask it to make you “a playlist for songs for a day at the beach”, and then save it for later.
In Messages, you can now ask it to schedule iMessages to be sent later, edit and unsent messages, as well as respond with emoji reactions. You can compose new Notes with bold, italic, and rich text formatting, organize your Notes folders, and more.
Photos gets a big expansion with new Siri AI capabilities that let you favorite photos, rotate and edit images, and rename people and pets all with your voice.
You can now use Siri AI with the Calendar app to create events featuring invitees, location, video call links and more. And in Reminders, you can now create urgent reminders for the first time with Siri.
In Safari, you can now use Siri to create tap groups from a list of URLs, sort your tabs, clear your history, delete reading list items and more.
Journal support with Siri AI is new for the first time. You can create entries with text transcription, or record audio entries.
There’s also wide support for file and folder management with Siri AI Files integration. You can get file content, create files and folders, send files to the trash, organize by type, rename files, and more, using just your voice.
We are also seeing new Siri features for Weather, Maps, Preview and Shortcuts, and will keep testing to find new integrations. Apple is also opening up this support to third-party developers.
iOS 27.3 is currently in beta testing and will be released publicly later this year.
