First Look at Tesla Update 2026.32 [PHOTOS]

Tesla has started pushing its latest feature drop out to the fleet. Software update 2026.32.3 is officially rolling out to vehicles, bringing practical UI revisions and media tweaks to customer touchscreens.

The timing of this drop fits Tesla’s usual software release calendar. Following a feature-packed Summer Update not too long ago, this autumn release and subsequent ones will lean slimmer as Tesla holds back major features and surprises for its annual holiday update later this year.

Even so, 2026.32 carries plenty of weight under the hood. Alongside this software update, the Full Self-Driving branch is getting FSD v14.3.9 for HW4 vehicles, and drivers with older HW3 vehicles are getting FSD v14.2 Lite.

Redesigned Wheel Selection UI

The most noticeable user-facing tweak in 2026.32 is a complete makeover for the Wheel & Tire configuration screen found under Controls> Service.

Previously, changing your wheel setup required tapping through a plain-text dropdown list alongside a small, isolated wheel thumbnail to match your vehicle’s onscreen visualization to what the wheels look like on the road. The redesigned menu ditches the dropdown entirely in favor of a large visual grid displaying full-color renders of available styles.

The new layout places each wheel design side-by-side in both its bare form and with the stock aerodynamic covers attached. For example, 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 options are shown with aero covers fitted right next to a “No Cover” card displaying the exposed spokes. Here’s what the old menu looked like in comparison:

Not a Tesla App

Selecting your exact wheel setup isn’t just about keeping the onscreen car avatar accurate. Tesla uses the selected configuration to calculate vehicle range estimates in the Energy app, since running without aerodynamic hub covers adds aerodynamic drag and slightly reduces highway efficiency.

Tesla’s updated menu text also hints that more factory wheel variants could be added down the line. The streamlined screen also ties into a feature we uncovered in a recent Tesla app update, which suggested that owners may soon be able to toggle aero wheel caps on or off directly from their phones rather than their car’s screen.

Apple Music Search, European Recall, and Security Patches

Beyond wheel visuals, the update brings a much-needed usability fix for audio streaming. Drivers using Apple Music can now search directly within their personal collections. Heading to Search, choosing Apple Music, and tapping the new Library tab lets you quickly find saved songs, albums, and customized playlists without having to sift through global Apple Music search results.

For Tesla owners in Europe, the update also resolves an official regulatory action without requiring a trip to a service center. According to the release notes, update 2026.32 delivers an over-the-air remedy for EU Recall Submission 2026_103555, restoring full vehicle compliance with UNECE Regulation No. 135 regarding lateral side-impact standards. Once the installation finishes, the compliance flag clears automatically with no further owner action needed.

Rounding out the release are undisclosed security patches. While it may not be a massive overhaul, 2026.32 delivers welcome interface polish as anticipation builds toward this year’s holiday update.
