Facer, one of the largest sources for downloading and installing watch faces for Wear OS and Apple Watch, is getting an overhaul. After announcing support for Google’s Watch Face Format and Wear OS 6 last year, and then extending support to RTOS watches, Facer is getting a redesigned storefront with a more colorful look and a curated, engaging feed for your particular smartwatch.
According to Facer, the updated interface makes it much easier to access popular watch faces and find the ones that suit you best. It adds new tabs at the top to access faces curated for you, those made through official brand partnerships, and those separated by activity or sport. Another section is dedicated to watch faces created by independent designers, grouped under “Facer Originals.” However, to qualify, creators must apply to a specific program and refrain from making their designs available through other sources, such as the Play Store.
