One of the biggest challenges Apple admins face today is managing AI use across apps, services, and more. Addigy is aiming to solve that problem with its Intelligence Suite, announced today, which brings a number of new tools and controls for IT teams to strengthen compliance while also unlocking AI tools in an IT-approved way.
Addigy builds device management software for managed service providers and IT teams that work with Apple, and the Intelligence Suite adds an AI layer directly inside that platform rather than as a separate console.
“Many IT admins know what their Macs need, but too much of their management time gets lost in syntax, filter logic, report building, and check-in delays, not to mention figuring out which AI tools can be trusted on their users’ devices,” said Jason Dettbarn, Addigy’s CTO and founder. “Autonomy only works inside guardrails you set. You define the boundaries, we enforce them.”
What’s in Addigy’s Intelligence Suite?
Addigy’s AI Script Assist writes, audits, and recommends actions for admins to approve, and it follows the customer’s existing RBAC rules rather than working around them. Natural language reporting aims to allow you to focus on what you want to know, rather than how to build the report.
“This is probably the best, easiest reporting capability I have seen in a long time. It’s a game-changer and is going to help me get so much more done,” said Nimoy Johnson, Endpoint Engineer, Smurfit WestRock.
Addigy says its AI runs entirely inside Addigy’s own environment, and customer data is never sent to external frontier models. Every action is processed locally, and every AI capability ships with built-in guardrails rather than bolted on afterward. With its new Intelligence Suite, Addigy is also shipping an MCP server that exposes its device management control plane to AI agents, with admin-set guardrails for every action the agent takes.
There’s also a shadow AI angle for Addigy’s new tool, and I believe its one of the more interesting aspects of it. Addigy is including prebuilt compliance rules to help Apple IT admins see, monitor, control, and block AI tools across their Mac fleets. That addresses a problem I’ve written about repeatedly: employees adopt AI tools faster than IT can onboard them, and the risk lands on IT regardless.
