Xiaomi announced its Android 17-based HyperOS 4 update back in August, launching the beta for many of the company’s phones almost immediately. Now, the final version of the update is ready to launch for a bevy of models, starting today, November 3, 2026.

HyperOS 4 follows in the footsteps of several other Android 17-based updates, giving the UI a Liquid Glass-inspired overhaul, more lockscreen customization (and giant clocks. We all love giant clocks, right?), new homescreen organization features, and better support for floating apps and app orientations.
Xiaomi also touted HyperOS 4’s enhanced performance, which launches apps nearly 20% faster after about a day of using the phone. This is run by a background AI algorithm that figures out usage, which is not too dissimilar to Google’s old Adaptive Battery feature launched all the way back on Android 9 Pie.
