Whether you’re working from home, gaming for several hours, or simply spending most of your day in front of a computer, having a comfortable workspace matters. While a regular computer desk can get the job done, having something that adapts to your preferred working position can make the experience more convenient.
This is where the TILVO Active Tech Desk comes in. It’s not your typical standing desk, as it combines motorized height adjustment with a tilting tabletop, integrated cable management, and several ergonomic features designed to make your workstation more flexible.
It also comes with a dual-surface tabletop, programmable memory presets, an anti-collision system, and a smart child lock. These features make it an interesting option for people who want a desk that can accommodate both gaming and everyday productivity.

We have the Onyx variant for this review. After looking at its components, assembly, design, and features, here’s what the TILVO Active Tech Desk brings to the table (pun intended).
What’s in the Box?
The TILVO Active Tech Desk arrives in two separate boxes. The first box contains the tabletop, while the second houses the remaining frame components, electronic parts, and accessories.
Here’s everything included in the package:
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| A. Tabletop | Main desk surface |
| B. Frame Supports | Vertical support structures |
| C. Extendable Bars | Adjustable frame connecting bars |
| D. Frame Base | Bottom support for the desk |
| E. Side Brackets | Brackets for securing the frame |
| F. Adapter Plug | Power adapter |
| G. Controller | Electronic adjustment control panel |
| H. Control Box | Motor and control connections |
| I. Cable Organizer Brackets | Supports for the cable organizer |
| J. Cable Organizer | Under-desk cable management component |
| K. Magnetic Cable Organizers | Magnetic cable holders |
| L. Wrist Rest | Magnetic wrist rest |
| M. Cable Clips | Nine cable clips |
| N. Allen Keys | 6mm Allen key |
| O. Leveling Feet and Casters | Alternative desk support and mobility options |
| P. Screws | M8x16 (16 pcs), M8x25 (8 pcs), and M4x14 (22 pcs) |
It’s nice that TILVO already includes several cable management accessories and the necessary hardware for assembly. You also get the option to install either casters or leveling feet, depending on how you intend to position the desk.
The package contains most of what you need to get the workstation ready without having to purchase additional accessories immediately.
Assembly and Installation
Assembling the TILVO Active Tech Desk requires some time, particularly because it has several frame components, mounting brackets, and electrical connections. Fortunately, the included manual provides illustrated instructions that walk you through the different stages.

The general process involves assembling the extendable bars and frame supports, attaching the frame bases and side brackets, securing the frame to the tabletop, and connecting the motors, control box, and controller. Afterward, you can install the cable management accessories and wrist rest.
One thing worth mentioning is that the individual components are quite heavy, particularly the tabletop and metal frame. I would recommend having someone assist you during assembly rather than attempting to put everything together alone. Having an extra pair of hands makes positioning the frame and attaching it to the tabletop considerably easier.

I also suggest preparing enough workspace before starting and organizing the screws and components beforehand. Since the tabletop has a finished surface, assembling it on a carpeted or protected floor is a good idea to avoid unnecessary scratches.
Wheels or Leveling Feet?
One detail I particularly appreciate is the option to install either wheels or leveling feet.
Personally, I prefer using the wheels. They provide more flexibility when moving the desk around, whether it’s for cleaning, rearranging the workstation, or accessing cables underneath. It’s a convenient option, especially if you’re someone who occasionally changes your room layout.
However, if you’re installing the desk on an uneven floor surface, I’d recommend using the leveling feet instead. These allow you to adjust the desk’s contact points with the floor and provide a more suitable setup for uneven surfaces.
It’s a relatively small inclusion, but having both options gives users more flexibility depending on their workspace.
Design and Build Quality
Moving on to the design, the TILVO Active Tech Desk has a distinct appearance compared to traditional computer desks. It features a dual-surface tabletop that combines a metallic rear section with a PU-padded front section.
The rear portion uses thermoformed coated MDF wood with a metallic surface, while the front section is made from MDF wood with a PU-padded finish. This combination gives the desk a more premium-looking appearance while providing a softer surface where your arms and wrists naturally rest.
It also has a contoured front edge, which gives it a more gaming-oriented design. Along this section is a magnetic wrist rest measuring 65.5cm, providing an additional resting area when using your keyboard and mouse.
The frame is made from carbon steel and uses a two-stage upright structure. It is available in two color options: Black (Onyx) and White (Howlite).
For the tabletop, users can choose between two sizes:
- Medium (M): 140 x 78cm
- Large (L): 160 x 78cm
We have the Onyx variant, and I personally like how the all-black finish complements a gaming setup. It gives the workstation a clean, cohesive appearance, especially if you already have black peripherals and accessories.
The tabletop design is also something I find interesting. It doesn’t follow the usual rectangular design of most computer desks, and the padded front section adds a different element to its overall appearance.
Motorized Height Adjustment
One of the main features of the TILVO Active Tech Desk is its motorized height adjustment system.
The desk has an adjustable height range of 75cm to 122cm, including the tabletop. This allows users to switch between sitting and standing positions without having to manually adjust the desk.

It is powered by four motors and has a lifting speed of 2.5cm per second. The integrated controller makes adjustments straightforward, with dedicated up and down buttons.
Another useful feature is its two programmable memory presets. You can save your preferred desk heights, such as one position for sitting and another for standing, then switch between them with a press of a button.
What I particularly appreciate about the motorized system is how quiet it operates. The motor noise is almost nonexistent, so raising or lowering the desk doesn’t become a distraction, especially when working in a quiet room.
I also like the convenience of having preset positions. Instead of repeatedly adjusting the height until you find the right position, you can simply save your preferred settings and recall them whenever needed.
For someone who spends several hours working in front of a computer, having the option to alternate between sitting and standing is a welcome addition.
Tilting Tabletop
Beyond height adjustment, the TILVO Active Tech Desk also features a tilting tabletop, which is arguably one of its more interesting features.
The tabletop supports an adjustable angle of 0 to 15 degrees, with a tilting speed of 1.6cm per second. It also has a forward adjustment range of up to 15cm, allowing users to bring the working surface closer depending on their preferred position.

This provides additional flexibility for different activities, whether you’re typing, reading, drawing, or using your computer for other tasks.
For gaming, the tilting mechanism gives users another way to adjust their keyboard and working position. However, I would personally keep the tabletop relatively flat for regular typing and mouse use, then experiment with the tilt depending on the activity.
It’s not necessarily a feature everyone will use regularly, but I appreciate having the option. Most conventional standing desks only allow you to adjust the overall height, so having an additional adjustment mechanism makes the TILVO a little more versatile.
Control Panel and Safety Features
The desk uses a non-touch LCD control panel with dedicated buttons for height adjustment, tabletop inclination, and memory presets.
Aside from the adjustment functions, TILVO also includes two safety features: an anti-collision system and a smart child lock.
The anti-collision system is designed to detect obstructions while the desk is moving and stop its adjustment to help prevent potential damage or accidents. This is particularly useful if you have storage cabinets, chairs, or other objects underneath the desk.
Meanwhile, the smart child lock prevents unintended changes to the desk’s settings by locking the controller. This is a useful addition for households with children or shared workspaces.
The controller also supports a reset operation, which allows the desk to recalibrate its position by following the procedure indicated in the manual.
These are useful inclusions for a motorized desk, especially considering that it has multiple moving components and adjustment mechanisms.
Cable Management and Accessories
A clean workstation isn’t just about having a good-looking desk. Once you start adding monitors, keyboards, mice, charging cables, and other peripherals, cable management becomes just as important.
Fortunately, the TILVO Active Tech Desk comes with several accessories designed to keep everything organized.
First, there are magnetic cable organizers and cable clips that attach to the metallic surface. These allow you to route cables neatly and keep them from unnecessarily occupying the working area.

It also includes an underside cable tray where you can store excess cables and power connections. This helps keep the underside of the desk more organized, particularly if you have several devices connected to the same workstation.
The magnetic wrist rest is another included accessory that complements the front section of the tabletop.
I appreciate that TILVO considered these smaller details as part of the overall package. Cable management is something that can easily be overlooked when setting up a gaming desk, so having these accessories included saves you from having to purchase additional organizers right away.
The magnetic organizers are particularly useful because you can reposition them depending on where you need to route your cables.

Price and Availability
The TILVO Active Tech Desk is available in two tabletop sizes, with the following prices:
| Variant | Dimensions | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Medium (M) | 140 x 78cm | PHP 37,699 |
| Large (L) | 160 x 78cm | PHP 39,499 |
Both variants are available in two color options: Onyx and Howlite.
The Medium variant is suitable for users who prefer a more compact workstation, while the Large variant provides additional tabletop space for multiple monitors and peripherals.
For this review, we have the Onyx variant, which features an all-black finish.
Conclusion
The TILVO Active Tech Desk is an interesting option for users who want more than just a conventional computer desk. Its combination of motorized height adjustment, a tilting tabletop, and integrated cable management makes it a versatile workstation for both gaming and productivity.
What I particularly appreciate is how the desk combines convenience with customization. The motorized height adjustment makes switching between sitting and standing easier, while the almost silent operation means it doesn’t become a distraction during work. The two memory presets also make it easier to return to your preferred positions.
The additional tilting mechanism is another interesting feature, although its usefulness will depend on your workflow. Meanwhile, the included cable management accessories and choice between casters and leveling feet show that TILVO has considered the smaller details of building a functional workstation.
At PHP 37,699 for the Medium variant and PHP 39,499 for the Large variant, the TILVO Active Tech Desk is positioned in the premium desk category. Its value will ultimately depend on how much you’ll use its additional adjustment features and whether you need the flexibility it offers.
Overall, the TILVO Active Tech Desk brings together several features that make sense for a modern gaming and work setup. If you’re looking for a customizable workstation that can adapt to different working positions while keeping your peripherals organized, this is a desk worth considering.
