    Acclaimed Japanese marathon champion Suguru Osako’s special edition COROS Pace 4 lasts a whopping 19 days on a single charge, including over 41 hours of real-time GPS tracking.

    If you’re a runner, chances are, you’re already using a COROS smartwatch. But if you’ve been using one for a while, you might want to consider the company’s latest watch, named after acclaimed marathon runner Suguru Osako, which brings a unique style along with the COROS Pace 4’s already top-notch specs.

    For the basics, this one packs a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with completely flat glass up top and a 6000-series aluminum alloy casing to keep it protected.

    A unique yellow action button adorns the left side, letting you quickly use your voice to start or control a workout, make voice notes, and set reminders. I’ve used the voice notes feature more than once during a run to remind myself of something that happened, usually during a trail run, in my case.

    The whole package comes in a matte gray-green colorway with a unique, supple silicone band adorned with Osako’s motto, “now or never,” which may just give you the boost you need during a particularly strenuous run.

    Like the regular Pace 4, the Suguru Osako edition comes with free workout and training plans, race predictor, virtual pacer, personalized marathon plans, and a lot more in the COROS app.

    You can buy it right now at COROS for just $289, making this a surprisingly affordable way to track all the miles you’re about to run to keep warm this winter.

    Why choose a COROS Pace 4 over Wear OS?

    <img src="https://9to5google.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2026/10/samsung–galaxy-watch-ultra-2-orange-watch-face.jpg” alt=”An orange watch face on a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2″ loading=”lazy”>

    We certainly love our Wear OS watches for their extraordinary capability and deep integration into Android, but even after years of evolution and innovation, most of them suffer from the same big issue: battery life. Take the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on my wrist in the photo above, for example. I took it out for a hike on Saturday and didn’t wear it at all yesterday (Sunday), yet it’s at 7% battery already.

    The COROS Pace 4 would still be in the 90-95% range after the same exact scenario, and it’s why I almost never wear Wear OS watches anymore. And I’m definitely not alone here. When I go to my weekly run club, at least half of the folks there use a COROS watch, with the remaining watches typically bearing Garmin or Amazfit branding. Rarely do I see people using Wear OS or Apple Watches there.

    There’s also no subscription fee just to get access to your data (or a virtual training coach), as the COROS app has everything built in. So if you’re an athlete that’s sick of your watch being dead every time you want to use it, COROS is the right choice, and that’s just one of many reasons runners love the brand.
