Apple has a round of new public beta updates rolling out today, including iPadOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, and more. Here’s what’s new.
Apple releases 27.2 public betas for iPadOS, watchOS 27.2, and more
It’s been a big week or so for Apple software releases. It started last Monday, when Apple launched major new software versions for all users, including:
Then on Wednesday, the company surprised us with 27.2 developer updates for its full lineup of platforms. 27.1 is reportedly being skipped in beta because it will focus primarily on iPhone Duo-related changes.
Now today, public beta testers get early access to Apple’s new 27.2 releases too.
iPadOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, and more are now available in public beta. The most notable changes are found in iPadOS and iOS.
iPadOS 27.2 has the all-new Health app with Apple Intelligence features, including Insights and Longevity tabs, and more. It also introduces Profiles for the Apple TV app, a long overdue feature for parents whose kids watch video on the iPad.
The update additionally brings over a handy Siri AI feature previously exclusive to macOS Golden Gate. And Siri AI expands to a bunch of new languages too.
If you’re interested in installing today’s public betas, go to the Software Update screen in Settings and make sure you’re opted into beta updates.
Have you installed the new 27.2 public betas? How are they running for you? Let us know in the comments.
