    PRESS RELEASE Plentisoft
    Oct. 8, 2026, 07:07 AM

    — Kuwait Mart expands its multi-category marketplace in Kuwait with new products, dedicated mobile apps, BNPL payment options and continued investment in its e-commerce technology.

Kuwait Mart is expanding its multi-category e-commerce platform in Kuwait, adding new products and broader shopping categories while continuing to build out its shopping experience across the web, iOS and Android.

The latest expansion builds on the rollout of Kuwait Mart’s dedicated iOS and Android applications earlier in 2026 and the introduction of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), as the company develops a broader digital commerce platform focused on the Kuwaiti market.

The marketplace spans categories including electronics, mobile devices and accessories, gaming, watches, perfumes, furniture, camping, fitness, travel and children’s products, among others. Customers can access the marketplace through Kuwait Mart and the company’s dedicated mobile applications.

“E-commerce is about more than putting products on a website,” said Hakem Alhumaidi, Co-Founder and CEO of Kuwait Mart. “At Kuwait Mart, we are building the technology and shopping experience together, bringing products, mobile apps and flexible payment options such as BNPL together in a platform designed for customers in Kuwait.”

Rather than focusing on a single retail category, Kuwait Mart operates across multiple shopping segments, allowing customers to browse different types of products through one digital marketplace.

Throughout September and into October, Kuwait Mart continued adding products across the marketplace as part of its ongoing development of a shopping platform designed around consumers in Kuwait.

The expansion reflects a broader approach that combines the development of the product offering with the technology and digital shopping experiences supporting it.

Building Across Web, Mobile and Payments

The marketplace expansion follows other developments to Kuwait Mart’s shopping platform, including the rollout of dedicated mobile applications for iOS and Android earlier in 2026.

The applications expanded Kuwait Mart’s shopping experience across mobile devices, providing customers with additional ways to browse products, access shopping categories and manage their shopping activity.

Kuwait Mart has also expanded its payment options by introducing a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service, allowing eligible customers to split purchases into four payments.

Technology Ownership as Part of the Platform Strategy

Alongside its product selection and shopping experience, Kuwait Mart continues to invest in the development of its e-commerce technology.

The company has chosen to develop custom-built commerce technology rather than relying entirely on ready-made storefront infrastructure. This approach gives Kuwait Mart direct control over how its web and mobile shopping experiences are developed as the marketplace expands.

This approach extends beyond the storefront to the broader platform infrastructure, as Kuwait Mart works to integrate different parts of its digital shopping experience more closely.

Kuwait Mart’s development strategy brings together a multi-category product offering, a platform focused on the Kuwaiti market and technology supporting the shopping experience across web and mobile.

    A Kuwait-Focused Multi-Category Platform

Kuwait Mart remains focused on serving the Kuwaiti market while broadening the range of products available through its marketplace.

Its multi-category model allows the company to develop a broader shopping destination rather than operating around a single product segment.

Kuwait Mart is a Kuwait-based e-commerce company operating a multi-category online marketplace for consumers in Kuwait. The company’s shopping platform is available across web, iOS and Android, offering products across multiple consumer categories.
