jaam automation has launched M. by jaam, an Agentic Work Management platform designed to help financial institutions and other businesses connect AI agents, employees and existing systems as they scale AI across operational workflows.
The London-based automation specialist said M. is designed to address one of the challenges facing financial firms as they move beyond AI pilots: how to give AI agents enough business context to handle complex, multi-step processes while maintaining oversight and control.
The platform coordinates work across employees, applications and AI agents, with its Context Engine combining organisational knowledge, business processes, live activity and historical data. It uses this information to understand how work moves through an organisation and determine the next required step, allowing AI to operate within established workflows.
The launch comes as financial institutions increase investment in AI while facing the challenge of moving from individual use cases to AI-enabled workflows across the wider organisation. While 88% of organisations now use AI, only 7% have fully scaled it, according to figures cited by jaam. McKinsey research cited by the company found that 80% of employees believe AI has improved their personal productivity, while only 37% of organisations report a positive impact on EBIT.
jaam said the scaling challenge is partly driven by workflows, knowledge and decision-making being fragmented across teams, applications and process stages, leaving AI agents without the business context required to act effectively.
This challenge is particularly relevant to financial services, where AI deployments need to operate across legacy technology, multiple data sources and tightly governed processes. M. is designed to provide a layer of context and orchestration between AI agents, employees and the systems underpinning these workflows.
M. can deploy its own AI agents while also incorporating agents that businesses have already developed, allowing firms to build on existing AI investments rather than replace them. The platform integrates with Microsoft Azure AI, Copilot and Power Platform alongside other business systems.
jaam noted that the number of active Microsoft 365 agents has increased 15-fold in a year, positioning M. as a way to connect these capabilities with employees and established business processes.
The platform follows a five-phase adoption model: Analyse, which examines requirements, knowledge and processes; Build, which converts those findings into structures and tasks; Work, which supports live activity with relevant context; Intelligence, which tracks progress and highlights risks; and Optimisation, which identifies where AI, agents and automation could improve processes.
jaam automation draws on decades of business process automation experience and is now applying AI and agentic AI to more complex work. The company said the aim of M. is to automate routine activity while allowing employees to focus on work requiring judgement, creativity and direction.
The launch also points to Gartner research, which in February 2026 identified “Universal Orchestration” as an emerging enterprise challenge as companies seek to coordinate AI agents, bots and people across multiple systems and vendors.
jaam automation chief strategy officer and co-founder Andrew Murphy said, “Many businesses have adopted AI incredibly quickly but are struggling to make it work across the business. Every organisation has its own processes, systems, people and ways of doing things. If we’re going to ask AI to take on more of that work, it needs to understand how the business actually works.”
He added, “Business context is a bottleneck in AI adoption, and that’s the thinking behind M. by jaam. Businesses can build that understanding through the work they’re already doing, then introduce AI where it makes sense and give it more responsibility as confidence grows.”
Oaka Studio co-founder Lucy Bourne also commented, “AI is changing how organisations work, however successful adoption is about more than introducing new technology. It’s about bringing AI, people and existing systems together in a way that is practical, secure and governed. M. by jaam provides a way to introduce AI progressively while maintaining visibility and control. Its alignment with the Microsoft ecosystem and ability to work with Microsoft Partners also provides a practical route for organisations already invested in Microsoft technologies to explore what agentic work can look like in practice.”
