Pre-order discounts on the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are now live ahead of release in early November, but Nintendo hosted a separate Direct event this morning with long list of notable reveals as well. From a new 3D Kirby adventure and the anticipated new 2D Metroid game, to FREE content updates for Mario Kart World and StarFox, down below you’ll find all of the most exciting announcements and releases from the September Nintendo Direct.
Kirby and the World Beyond
Copy your enemies’ abilities as Kirby, and use the powers you get in lots of different ways! Blast yourself into the air with bomb jumps, stick your sword into trees and climb, ride at high speed across fields, and <a href="https://myappsplus.com/doj-wants-more-answers-on-foxs-22b-roku-deal/” title=”DOJ wants more answers on Fox’s $22B Roku deal”>more—there are plenty of moves you can use to get around as you push boundaries to explore the world beyond.
Metroid Ravenous
Take control of Samus Aran, a renowned bounty hunter ambushed by unknown attackers and marooned on an unfamiliar moon.
Gather your arsenal, navigate a maze of corridors, hunt down powerful bosses, and use your newly awakened Metroid instincts to devour your foes.
You’ll need to strike quickly and aggressively with beams, missiles, and more—lest you become the enemy’s next meal.
Samus – Metroid Ravenous Series
Samus Aran, one of the greatest bounty hunters in the galaxy. Capable of completing any mission—no matter the danger.
Chozo Statue – Metroid Ravenous Series
This amiibo figure is larger than standard size. In the Metroid series of games, the Chozo are a highly intelligent, peaceful, and technologically advanced bird-like species. These sentinel statues depicting their likeness offer secrets and powers Samus can use to upgrade her suit.
Samus (Metroid Suit) – Metroid Ravenous Series
Included with Metroid Ravenous: Special Edition. Samus will need to unleash her newly awakened Metroid instincts to devour her enemies, and tap into the overwhelming power of her Metroid Suit, to emerge victorious.
There is also a new The Metroid Ravenous: Special Edition that “includes the physical version of the game, a SteelBook case, and the Samus (Metroid Suit) – Metroid Ravenous Series amiibo figure.”
Mario Kart World FREE Update
A free update for Mario Kart World launches later today.
Play 10 classic courses from Super Mario Kart in VS Race mode. Barrel through Choco Island, Vanilla Lake, Ghost Valley and more! Just like in the Super Mario Kart game, you can ride over ? Panels on these courses to get items.
Plus, two new routes are coming to Knockout Tour: Propeller Rally and Turnip Rally.
Resident Evil 2/3/4
Three remakes—Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition—are coming digitally to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2026!
