Space Exploration Technologies Corp. CEO Elon Musk is embracing President Donald Trump’s push to replace the term “artificial intelligence” with “Super Intelligence.”

On Sunday, Musk took to X and said that the era of calling the technology “artificial intelligence” is over.

An X user then asked Musk whether his AI company could be renamed SpaceXSI. Musk replied, “Yes, we will make that change.”

The proposed name would replace SpaceXAI, the branding currently associated with SpaceX’s AI operations. However, the company’s X account had not been renamed SpaceXSI at the time of writing and Musk did not provide a timeline for the change.
Musk Echoes Trump’s Superintelligence Push
Musk’s comments follow Trump’s call for the terminology shift during a speech at the UN General Assembly last month.
Trump said U.S. government documents should use the term “Super Intelligence” instead of “artificial” intelligence, calling it a “much more accurate term.”
Musk also shared an image of “Superintelligence”, a book by Oxford philosopher Nick Bostrom, and wrote, “It always was.”

SpaceX Revenue Jumps 92% As AI Soars 247%
The potential rebrand follows SpaceX’s acquisition of Musk’s AI company, xAI, which brought its AI operations under the aerospace company.
SpaceX went public earlier this year, debuting in June at a valuation of roughly $1.75 trillion.
The company reported second-quarter revenue of $7.81 billion, up 92% year over year, with its space business generating $962 million, up 29%, connectivity revenue reaching $4.29 billion, up 66%, and AI revenue surging 247% to $2.56 billion.
