When is Black Friday?

Are gaming laptops really cheaper during Black Friday sales?
As the price of RAM, graphics cards, and other PC peripherals continue to skyrocket while companies like Nvidia pour ever more resources into AI chips, “cheap” is a very relative and very subjective term. You can still find great gaming laptop configurations for less than $1,000, but don’t expect their performance or battery life to knock your socks off. The advantage of buying a cheap-ish laptop now is that you can always upgrade components later as you need, with many models featuring extra RAM and SSD slots for boosting performance and storage space.
How much RAM should my gaming laptop have?
If you’re a serious gamer who wants to keep up with all of the biggest triple-A titles, the new standard is 32GB of RAM as games get bigger, flashier, and start to incorporate resource-intensive features like ray tracing. However, if you’re simply wanting a solid gaming laptop that can handle the occasional WoW raid or CoD match with friends, you can still get away with sticking to a 16GB limit. Just be aware that you might run into performance issues like lagging and screen tearing with higher graphics settings.
