Apple released the HomeView 27.2 system update Thursday, including 20 default wallpapers for its smart home hub launching Nov. 13, plus early previews of face customization and a hidden software graphic.
Apple released HomeView 27.2 Thursday, delivering the operating system for its smart home hub ahead of the Nov. 13 launch. Apple offers build 24V514 to devices in preorder.
The update includes 20 default wallpapers in light and dark variations. The images use a 1:1 aspect ratio to match the hub’s dimensions, but Apple’s built-in wallpaper settings on iPhone, iPad, and Mac let you crop or adjust them for any screen.
Developer Guilherme Rambo shared screenshots of the face customization interface on Mastodon, showing how users will personalize the display. Aaron Perris spotted a hidden “HomeView Software 26” graphic inside the build on X, supporting prior rumors that Apple planned the device for last year.
Download the light and dark sets through Apple’s HomeView update page. Rambo’s preview is on Mastodon.
