Air India has optimised its mobile app for the <a href="https://myappsplus.com/what-to-expect-from-apples-<a href="https://myappsplus.com/iphone-duo-star-white-focused-wallpaper-pack/” title=”iPhone Duo Star White focused wallpaper pack”>iphone-18e/” title=”What to expect from Apple's iPhone 18e”>iPhone Duo, with support available from day one of the device’s launch. The update adapts the interface to the device’s larger display across Home, Flight Booking, My Trips, Check-in, Flight Status and Loyalty Profile.
Air India app gets iPhone Duo optimisation
Last month, Apple detailed apps and games optimised for the iPhone Duo, highlighting how developers are adapting their apps to the device’s form factor. Air India’s update uses responsive layouts, split-view and dual-pane designs across the outer and inner displays, allowing users to view more information at a glance, compare flight options and access travel details with fewer taps and less scrolling.
Home screen and flight booking
The updated Home screen displays destination cards and app content across the expanded viewing area. The illustrated outer and inner display views show how the interface presents content across the available screen space. In the Flight Booking section, improved content organisation and visibility make it easier to compare available flight options.
Support for different display formats
The app supports the iPhone Duo’s outer and inner displays in both portrait and landscape orientations. The four configurations illustrated in the update are:
- Outer display in portrait orientation
- Inner display in portrait orientation
- Inner display in landscape orientation
- Outer display in landscape orientation
Responsive layouts adjust content to each display format, while split-view and dual-pane designs organise information across the available screen space.
My Trips, check-in and flight information
The My Trips section displays upcoming and past journeys, with multiple trip cards visible side by side. The illustrated screens show journey details alongside actions such as:
- View Trip
- Boarding Pass
- Select Seat
- Add Baggage
This arrangement presents travel information and available actions together. The optimisation also covers Check-in and Flight Status.
Loyalty Profile
The Loyalty Profile section displays My Activities, Vouchers, What’s New and Earn with Partners. Its content is arranged to accommodate the wider layout, allowing more information to appear within a single view.
Availability
Air India said the optimised app experience was available from day one of the iPhone Duo’s launch.
