Apple’s 13-inch iPad Air is a big-screen tablet that hits a sweet spot for work, play, and everyday use, and there’s a strong deal on it right now on Amazon. This version packs the M2 chip, 1TB of storage, Wi-Fi 6E, and 5G cellular, so it’s built for people who want lots of space and fast connections without moving up to an iPad Pro.
The large 13-inch Liquid Retina display gives you more room for multitasking, streaming, drawing, and getting through documents. Apple also includes a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera, with the front camera geared toward video calls and content capture. The M2 chip is a big part of the appeal here, offering strong performance for everyday tasks as well as gaming, editing, and productivity work. You also get support for Apple Intelligence features, including writing help, image tools, and a more capable Siri experience.
For anyone using an iPad as more than just a couch screen, this model has a lot going for it. It supports Apple Pencil Pro and compatible Magic Keyboard accessories, which helps it work as a tablet-laptop hybrid for school or work. Battery life is rated at up to about 10 hours of web browsing or video playback on Wi-Fi.
Amazon is now selling the Apple iPad Air 13-inch for $979, down from its $1,449 RRP. That’s a 32% discount relative to the recommended retail price, and it knocks $470 off the usual cost. It’s also backed by a strong 4.6-star Amazon rating, which adds to the value of this deal.
