Unlike the long-discontinued Abound model that was last seen in 2025, the newest-generation Abound SR and Abound LR e-bikes are smarter cargo haulers that share similar performances, just with some key differences. Those differences are are mainly in the size and rear deck layouts, as well as some included accessories, with the 80-pound SR model (short rack) coming in with a 45-inch wheelbase and a 22-inch rear rack, while the 88-pound LR model (long rack) has a 53-inch wheelbase, a 29-inch rear cargo deck, and boasts an integrated aluminum footboard alongside center-mounted locking storage. Among their shared smart features, you’ll get GPS tracking, remote locking, geofencing, passcode access, a keyless battery, an alarm system, and others.
Aside from some slight differences like the saddle and colorway options, they share the same features, including a 750W rear-hub motor (1,188Wh peak) and 36V 20Ah/733Wh battery for up to 60 miles of travel, topping out at 20 MPH, unless unlocked for 25 MPH. What’s really nice is the 440-pound total payload they can handle, which includes the 143-pound cargo rack payloads. Other features include Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, a BC147 color display with a USB-C port, integrated lighting with turn signaling and brake lighting, an 8-speed Shimano Altus derailleur, a double-sided bottom bracket torque sensor, 20-inch by 3-inch urban tires, an integrated kick stand lock, and more.
