Anker has been one of the top contenders in the portable backup power market for quite some time now, and today, the brand is introducing its latest portable solution, the SOLIX S5000 Power Station, alongside some launch savings well ahead of it hitting the market later in the month. The brand is positioning it as the “longest-lasting 5kWh portable power station, designed to power home essentials for up to 48 hours during an outage.”

As mentioned above, the Anker SOLIX S5000 Portable Power Station has been designed for more bolstered home backup, aiming to cover essentials for up to 48 hours non-stop during an outage and longer should you use its capabilities sparingly.

It combines OptiSave 2.0 tech – “delivering up to 96% efficiency under a 1,000W light load” – with a 4,500W steady output to cover both 120V and 240V appliances. What’s more, if users choose, it can be expanded from 5kWh to 30kWh, with the brand claiming it to be “the smallest, lightest design in its class.”

It’s also bringing along a lower idle power consumption as we’ve seen from other releases this year, like the S2000 power station, for example. With the S5000, the idle power use has been cut down to 8.8W in 120V mode for 20% longer runtimes, which is rated to support up to 21 days of standby.

According to the testing reports from Anker, the SOLIX S5000’s efficiency allowed it to power a refrigerator, Wi-Fi router, coffee maker, lights, and a mobile phone in a 48-hour period. When testing individual essentials, that timeframe increased up to 86 hours running a refrigerator and up to 25 hours running a window AC unit.

It’s also received a TÜV SÜD’s A+ Runtime rating, which is the highest rating a unit can get from an assessment of real-world runtime performance, which makes this the first 5kWh portable power station to earn such a rating, hence the title Anker has given it. To earn that A+, the station met the standards across four categories: usable output energy, conversion efficiency, energy retention and energy density by volume.

The 314Ah/5,024Wh LiFePO4 battery cells are rated for up to 10,000 cycles of charging and discharging, with an estimated lifespan of up to 15 years and coming with a five-year warranty.

It’s a 97-pound unit (“28% lighter and 45% smaller by volume than selected competing 5kWh-class models”), complete with wheels and a telescoping handle for easier mobility between rooms. It delivers a steady output of 4,500W and can surge as high as 8,000W, with a collection of 120V and 240V connections for everyday essentials, compatible furnaces, well pumps, ranges, and water heaters. The 240V output even retains its availability when charging from a 120V source. Speaking of recharging, its fastest speeds comes from a 4,500W, 240V source, allowing it to go from empty to 100% capacity in up to 99 minutes. For solar recharging, it can handle up to 3,000W of input from panels.

During emergencies, it provides a 10-millisecond UPS switchover to keep devices running during sudden grid failure, not to mention it operates at “less than 30dB under specified conditions,” which severely reduces the noise around living spaces.

    Pricing, Availability, and Launch Savings:

The Anker SOLIX S5000 Portable Power Station will officially launch with a $3,599.99 MSRP on October 27, 2026 from the brand’s direct website, as well as on Amazon. Upon that launch, the station will benefit from a $1,100 discount to $2,499.99 shipped.

Those who sign up on the landing page here from October 9 through October 26, and purchase it from October 27 through November 9, will also be receiving a bonus savings bundle with $699 in FREE gear, which includes a two-year warranty extension, an Anker Prime charging station, and the brand’s Smart Generator DC charging cable.
