Keeping up with the latest and greatest apps and games is a difficult task, but I’m here to help. Each month, I detail a list of the best new Android apps and games, and this month’s edition includes a new Android launcher, a brilliant daily notes app, and more.

Let’s jump right in. Here are the best new Android apps and games you should try in November 2026. If you missed it, catch the October edition here.

    Android Auto Maker

Make almost any app Android Auto compatible.

    • Price: Free
    • Developer: malebuffy

Google institutes strict rules regarding which apps can run on Android Auto, but these restrictions can be skirted using an open-sentially repackages and re-signs other apps allowing them to run on Android Auto head units while parked. In theory, this process makes almost any Android app compatible with your car under safe circumstances

Some possible use cases include running navigation apps that aren’t yet supported, or games that Google hasn’t yet certified for use in the car.

There are a few notable caveats, though. You cannot run two instances of the same app on your phone. If you’re patching an existing app, you’ll need to uninstall it, removing all of your existing data. This could prove a problem for those with games they enjoy playing on their phones. Some apps will also flat-out fail due to various Android safety layers.

While Android Auto Maker might not have much mileage for general drivers, it’s a nifty proof of concept that most apps could run on the platform if Google allows it.

    SnapFade

Keep screenshots in the clipboard and out of your gallery.

    • Price: Free
    • Developer: Sridhar1030

One of my Android-related pet peeves is trying to find a specific photograph that I’ve snapped among a sea of screenshots I’ve snagged for work. SnapFade is an app that understands my struggles, and remedies them with a super simple solution.

The app, co-coded using Claude, temporarily stores screenshots in the clipboard, keeping your storage free of screen grabs you were planning to delete anyway. It includes user-adjustable deletion timers, options to copy the image to messages or emails, or save the screenshot to storage if it’s deemed worthy. The interface also lets you browse the shots you’ve made.

    Victoria Launcher

A minimalist Android launcher modeled on Niagara.

    • Price: Free
    • Developer: adelmonte

When it comes to Android launchers, few can hold a candle to what Niagara Launcher offers. It’s slick, clutter-free, and highly customizable if you know where the toggles and switches are. It’s no surprise then that developers are looking at it for inspiration for their own works.

Victoria Launcher is one such example. Named after a similarly imposing waterfall in Africa, Victoria adopts a similar philosophy to its muse, focusing on providing users with all of the features and none of the required fees. This includes widget stacking, Popup-like widgets within folders, loads of visual tweaks, and gesture support.

What is your primary reason for choosing a home screen launcher?

It’s an incredibly young project, but it already has several dozen versions under its belt, with more arriving each day. For this reason, I’d guard against adopting Victoria as your main launcher, but it’s well worth test driving if you like Niagara’s concept.

    Bivouac

Hike often? Keep a detailed journal of your adventures.

    • Price: Free
    • Developer: sebastienraison

I’ve started hiking again and desperately wanted an app to keep track of various routes. Bivouac is that app, seamlessly melding a journal with a data log.

Import a GPX file and the app will let you set bivouac spots and display data for each split. You can also add any notes or images along the route from past trips for future reference. It also lets you compare hikes, outlining how much time you’ve spent stationary or if you completed a split a little quicker or slower than before.

Importantly, Bivouac doesn’t generate the GPX route file. You’ll need to either generate it yourselfthe internet. I’d suggest you create the file yourself, especially since many GPX files online simply aren’t as detailed as I would like

    Emberr

A comprehensive notes and organization app.

    • Price: Free
    • Developer: benny10ben

I have a soft spot for Notion. It’s what I use to keep track of my various projects and potential article ideas. It brings order to a potentially cluttered part of my workflow. However, it has annoying quirks, and its constant push of AI features has left me seeking an alternative. I recently encountered Emberr, a notes and calendar app that perhaps comes closest to filling this void.

Like Notion, it uses the “everything is a block” philosophy, making content easy to create and move around the app. There are distinct spaces for all the corners of your life, like work and personal, while the app fully integrates the calendar, note creation, and task features within these spheres.

The real selling point of Emberr, at least over Notion, is that all your data is stored on-device. While it also packs support for AI smarts, those are turned off by default.

That’s it for the November 2026 roundup of the best new Android apps and games! Have you stumbled across any new apps or titles that you think deserve inclusion? Would you like to suggest a game or app? Let me know down in the comments below.
