Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000.
Xiaomi earlier this week launched the UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 series in India.
I have been using it for a week, and here are my thoughts on the new power bank.
Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 is one of the slimmest in its class. It measures 98.5mm in height, 71.5mm wide and just 6mm in thickness and weighs two grams shy of 100g.
When held in hand, the power bank feels so light and exudes premium hand-feel. As you can see in the cover photos, it comes in a minimalistic, super-slim design and is made of a high-strength aluminium alloy shell.
Also, it has a fibreglass finish with a fire-resistant Excimer coating, which is said to be heat-resistant as well.
Our review unit is radiant orange. Besides this eye-catching variant, Xiaomi also offers it in two other colours: silver and graphite black.
It has a Type-C USB port for charging and also comes with an LED flash to indicate the battery capacity status. Also, there is a physical button to turn it on.
Inside, it houses a 5,000mAh battery. It has a high-energy-density Silicon-Carbon Battery with 16 per cent Silicon content, and comes paired with a 4369mm² graphite sheet, which ensures heat generated while drawing power and discharging is dissipated more efficiently. This way, the power bank lasts longer.

The magnetic charging point can dock to any compatible device like an iPhone or an Android phone. It holds on to the companion handset very firmly. A notable aspect is that, even if the phone is attached to the power bank, there is hardly any discomfort in terms of weight while answering a call. And it can slip into the pocket attached to the phone with less hassle.

And, yes, it is flight-friendly. One can carry the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank with carry-on baggage or hand luggage.
The USB-C port supports up to a maximum of 22.5W output. The power bank can also charge two devices simultaneously, supporting up to 7.5W used together
It is compatible with iPhone 16 and newer models, Pixel 10 series and newer models, and most of premium Android phones including from the house of Xiaomi.
