One of my favorite Apple TV 4K features—screensavers—might soon start offering sound effects in tvOS 27 per a new leak. Here are the details.
tvOS 27 code reveals audio option coming to at least one Apple TV screensaver, with more likely
October is expected to be a big one for Apple, with lots of new hardware and software launches in the pipeline.
Among rumored products is a new Apple TV 4K, which had a leaked image surface earlier today in Apple code.
Now on the software side, leaker pdfu has just posted evidence from tvOS 27 code of audio coming soon to at least one Apple TV screensaver.
As seen in the video above, the Snoopy screensaver has hidden options for turning audio on or off, or using a ‘Reduced’ setting.
The example of the Snoopy screensaver seems like it shouldn’t be too distracting, but I’m glad that Apple plans to let users keep audio disabled entirely.
Though pdfu hasn’t yet discovered audio support for other screensavers, there’s a good chance Apple will expand the feature to more screensavers in the future.
What do you think of tvOS 27 potentially adding audio options to Apple TV screensavers? Let us know in the comments.
