As part of Velotric’s Labor Day Sale event, which is offering the Discover 2 Comfort Commuter e-bike at a new $1,499 low, the brand is also offering a first-time bundle of the Nomad 2 Off-Road Fat-Tire e-bike with an extra battery at $1,999 shipped. The deal here is similar to those we see from Lectric, Juiced, and Monarc, with the savings not being on the bike itself, but instead coming from the FREE $550 battery that doubles its travel range. Considering we’ve only ever seen as big as $250 savings cut from the tag and small (and rare) bundle additions in select sales, the overall $550 savings here makes it the biggest deal we’ve tracked to date. Head below to learn more about this specific model, or check out the full Velotric Labor Day Sale lineup here.
The Velotric Nomad 2 e-bike comes as a more accessible off-roading option to its more advanced and premium Nomad 2X full suspension counterpart. Normally, there’s the single 705.6Wh battery that powers the 7750W rear hub motor (1,300W peak) for up to 65 miles of travel, but with the extra battery here, you’ll be able to travel at up to 130 miles – all with a max speed of 28 MPH. That’s some serious commuting power that has the riding experience bolstered further, thanks to the SensorSwap tech so you can toggle between its cadence or torque sensors, not to mention the Apple Find My inclusion.
What’s more, there’s a nice suite of mechanical features, too, which include a front hydraulic suspension fork, fat KENDA puncture-resistant tires for when you go off-road or ride through uneven/debris-covered routes, a rear cargo rack with a 66-pound payload (and 505-pound total riding payload), an integrated LED headlight, an integrated taillight (turn signaling and brake lighting), an 8-speed Shimano derailleur, a 3.5-inch color display with a USB-C port for device charging, and more.
As I mentioned, you can browse the full Velotric Labor Day Sale lineup here, which is offering up to $550 savings starting from $999. We’ve also got plenty more sales for you over in our dedicated e-bikes hub, or head to our separate EV hub here for deals on other EV types (e-scooters, electric dirt bikes, more).
