More Details About Location
Tesla is now providing more details on how your location is used in the Tesla app. When the app asks for a user’s location data, it now more clearly explain why it’s important and how it’s used.
Tesla collects your location to enable Phone Key, Summon, Roadside Assistance, and finding nearby charging and service locations. If you allow location access all the time, Tesla also uses your location in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use, to notify you of Supercharger wait times when you arrive.
