At the Android Developer Summit on Wednesday, Google’s smart glasses partnerXreal launched its new Xreal Aura wired smart glasses, powered by the Android XR and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite platforms. The companies had teased the glasses earlier in the yearat Google’s I/O developer conference.

Earlier this year, my colleague Jason England put the original Xreal One Pro AR glasses head-to-head against one of thebestpremium pairs of AR glasses, the Viture Beast.

Ahead of its Android XR-based Aura launching later this year, XREAL is giving its flagship One Pro a “Plus” upgrade without raising the price.

XREAL’s first pair of Android XR glasses, XREAL Aura, finally have a price tag – $1,279.
