Your car’s next big software update may not show up every other week, and that’s on purpose. As more models become “software-defined,” major automakers are rethinking over-the-air (OTA) updates and trading constant tweaks for releases that actually change how the vehicle behaves.
PARIS, Oct 16 (Reuters) – China’s automakers are betting European drivers will embrace a new form of premium motoring centred on technology rather than heritage, with brands such as Changan’s Avatr and BYD’s Denza pitching what they call “intelligent luxury”.
It turns out that the one thing that can apparently bridge Washington’s partisan divide is AM radio. U.S. automakers may be forced to build AM radio into new vehicles within the next year.
