Gasgoo Munich-PIA Automation released its 2026 semi-annual report on August 26. Revenue climbed to 1.23 billion yuan — a 19.13% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, the company narrowed its net loss attributable to shareholders by 7.9% to 25.5735 million yuan.
Automotive intelligent manufacturing equipment remains PIA Automation’s revenue foundation, generating 869 million yuan in the first half and accounting for 70.70% of the total. Amid cyclical fluctuations in the auto industry, the company is concentrating resources on five high-value tracks: intelligent driving, electric drive systems, smart chassis, passive safety, and thermal management.
During the first half, PIA Automation secured orders for domain control assembly and testing lines from a top global Tier 1 supplier, achieving a yield rate exceeding 99%. Orders for electric drive assembly lines now cover both passenger vehicle and new energy commercial vehicle platforms. Additionally, the company landed its first chassis assembly project from a global Tier 1 client.
The embodied intelligent robotics business emerged as a standout performer. Revenue reached 64.52 million yuan, representing 5.25% of total sales — a multiple-fold increase compared to the full year of 2025. The unit also completed on-site scenario deliveries for a top Fortune 500 client.
On the capacity front, the Wuxi robot manufacturing base successfully reached full production, creating a dual-base synergistic layout with the Ningbo facility. A total of 900 embodied intelligent robots rolled off the line in the first half, pushing overall annual capacity beyond 3,000 units.
The non-automotive equipment segment generated 288 million yuan, or 23.41% of total revenue. Notably, the medical equipment sector saw a breakthrough: PIA Automation delivered a high-speed laser marking automation line featuring a magnetic levitation conveyor system working in tandem with intelligent robots to a leading international medical client. This solution boosted capacity by nearly threefold compared to traditional methods.
In terms of orders, PIA Automation signed 917 million yuan in new contracts during the first half of 2026, with non-automotive equipment accounting for 22.49%. By the end of the reporting period, the total order backlog stood at 2.59 billion yuan.
Public records show PIA Automation is a subsidiary of Joyson Group, specializing in intelligent manufacturing equipment and industrial digital software services for sectors like smart electric vehicles, healthcare, and high-end consumer goods.
