There’s no shortage of MagSafe accessories out there, but the iPhone Duo’s shorter and wider design means a lot of gear made for regular iPhones doesn’t fit quite as neatly. Belkin is tackling that with its new Magnetic Wallet, which is purpose-built around Apple’s latest foldable. It’s now up for pre-order at$49.99 shipped, and it might be worth picking up if you’re existing wallets don’t quite fit very well. Head below for a closer look and more details.
Much like the Baseus PicoGo Air AM72 power bank we featured recently, the big draw here is simply that this accessory was actually designed around the Duo’s shorter footprint. Belkin shaped the wallet to sit within the back of the folded phone while also clearing the camera housing, so you don’t end up with the bottom hanging past the device.
The wallet itself is made from genuine Irish leather and uses an angled card layout that can hold up to three cards without extending beyond the Duo. There’s also an integrated adjustable kickstand built into the back, letting you prop the phone up for hands-free viewing or video calls without carrying a separate stand. Belkin also says the magnetic attachment keeps the wallet securely in place while still leaving the cards easy to access.
It’s a pretty simple accessory at the end of the day, but the Duo’s dimensions make the purpose-built design much more important here than it would be on a regular iPhone. This Belkin model looks like one of the cleaner solutions out there so far if you’ve already run into the awkward overhang problem with an existing MagSafe wallet.
