Ala. (WALA) – Netflix is testing a new artificial intelligence-powered search tool designed to help viewers cut down on endless scrolling and find something to watch faster

The company announced this week that it is introducing “AI Discover,” a new tab on its smart TV application.

Once selected, the feature presents viewers with curated themes based on their current mood. Choosing a theme pulls up tailored movie and television recommendations. Viewers looking for different options can cycle through additional themes, and users who encounter titles they dislike can fine-tune their selections to ensure Netflix filters them out of future recommendations.

According to the streaming service, the feature is initially available to select U.S. subscribers who use English-language profiles on supported connected televisions. A wider rollout is expected in the coming weeks.

Content creators tired of editing videos on mobile screens now have a free desktop alternative from Meta.

The tech giant has launched a Mac desktop version of its Edits video-editing tool, aiming directly at competing platforms like CapCut. The software is positioned as a budget-friendly solution for creators seeking robust production tools without paying for expensive editing suites.

The desktop app includes advanced features such as a full multi-track timeline, keyframe animations, custom typography, auto-generated captions, and 4K video exports without watermarks.

The software also streamlines mobile-to-desktop workflows by syncing users’ saved audio styles directly from their phone and enabling one-click publishing to Instagram from their computer.

Meta plans to deliver weekly software updates, with cross-platform project syncing between mobile devices and computers scheduled to roll out soon.
