Mountain focused iPhone Duo wallpapers pack

iPhone Duo’s wallpaper situation is an interesting one. I had once wondered if there were four different wallpaper settings: Outer Screen Lock Screen; Outer Screen Home Screen; Inner Screen Lock Screen; and, Inner Screen Home Screen. This turned about to be inaccurate, but was certainly hopeful. In order to create the continuity experience and perception that the Outer Screen is a pane of glass into the larger one, a single wallpaper can be set for the Lock Screen and the Home Screen. For clarity, one can be set for each.

I really enjoy the darker, mountain-in-the-background look, to the stock iPhone Duo Night Sky wallpaper version. This led me to tracking down similar mountain landscape wallpapers for the iDB Wallpapers of the Week gallery.

What resolution image to set, is still outstanding. Given iPhone Duo rotates in both poses, like an iPad, my original thinking is to use a square image, similar to an iPad. In theory, that should rotate the image on a center point, like iPad. This keeps the image centered, regardless of orientation. Per Apple’s iPhone Duo technical specs, the Inner Screen is 1878 x 2670 and Outer Screen is 1398 x 2034. Consequently, finding a square image that was at least 2670 x 2670 in each dimension was the goal. I’m still learning the best sized image. For example, a landscape or portrait image could work, so long as the longest dimensions are at least 2670.

I am convinced these iPhone Duo wallpapers with mountains are incredible! My favorite two are listed first and I’ve been using the sunset version with a river, listed second, the most since Friday.
