For the last 160 days, I’ve used this chair as my primary desk chair. I spend about 8 to 9 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week. If you’ve followed any of my other reviews, you know that I work across several workspaces, but this one is my primary for this season.

Previously, I had the Lenovo Omni here, and I loved it. There are a few things, like build quality and a few other areas, that, if it were a perfect chair, I wouldn’t see problems with. Then Lenovo, without anyone asking, dropped the Omni Pro, and my goodness, this thing answers and checks all those boxes.

I sit in this chair all day long, and I have zero comfort issues. Every time it gets too warm, which it normally does, I can turn on the fan. If it gets way too warm, I can turn on the cooling aspect as well. I need to lean back to look under my desk to relax, and I can do so fully flat.

If I just need a little tension resistance so I can lean back against my desk while sitting and working, I can do that as well. The arms are great, and the adjustability is great. Really, the only thing I wish for is adding more features. I can’t find anything wrong with this chair from my testing, making it one of the best office chairs – if you can afford it.

LiberNovo Omni Pro: Price and Availability

You can buy the LiberNovo Omni Pro direct from the company here. List price is $1299 / £1,369. However, at time of review, it’s down to $1,109 / £1,191. That’s a premium price comparable with Herman Miller and Steelcase seats. Whether that’s good value really depends on whether you want a chair with all the bells and whistles, or one with a strong design and engineering heritage.

The Omni Pro chair comes in three different bundles: One with the chair, one with chair and footrest, and the premium which includes chair, footrest, and spare battery for the seat.

LiberNovo Omni Pro: Unboxing and First Impressions

First of all, I was so excited for this year that I didn’t even have time to sign up, but luckily I did. Time: literally less than a minute, start to finish.

LiberNovo spares no expense on the shipping box for this chair and the RMD to make assembly very simple. Yes, there’s a unique actuator screw that I need to connect, and I have to do that for other chairs, but even with that, there are only 7 screws total, 1 multi-bit screwdriver, and very clear instructions.

Some chairs have 7 screws just for the base, so does this: 7 screws maximum made me smile.

LiberNovo Omni Pro: Design and Build Quality

I absolutely love this chair’s design. I know it’s not for everybody, but I’ve worked with people who do like the look of this chair. They think it looks futuristic or isn’t their style, which I understand, but for me, this pairs beautifully with my Parsons standing desk and all my gear.

In my testing so far, I’ve had zero durability or reliability issues. The material still looks like new. Well, I don’t typically eat at this desk. The few crumbs that have fallen on this chair wipe off easily, too. I don’t usually get stuck in the fibers, but if there were crumbs, you could easily knock them out or wipe them off.

The unique-looking bionic flex backrest is almost like it is designed to fit your back, with multiple sections that cover its curvature and adjust and bend as you move the lumbar support in and out with the buttons.

The five allowed recline positions, more than the last chair, are spectacular and well placed. I occasionally use the 105 mode when I need to lock in. I usually set my chair super, super tight with the crank wheel, then lock it at 115 or 125 so that, if I want to push back, I can stop there easily.

Occasionally, if I want, I kick it all the way back to 160 and use the massaging function, which is, of course, yet another spectacular bonus of this chair.

    LiberNovo Omni Pro: In use

I’ve been sitting in this chair for over 160 days. During that time, I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time here.

So far, I’m thrilled with how comfortable it is. Wow, it’s breathable, especially as the weather gets warm, and it’s supportive. I haven’t had any fatigue or pain after a day of sitting in the chair.

Yes, this chair is incredibly cushy, but it also feels like it lives up to the hype. I’ve only had to charge the battery a few times. I like the backrest features.

I really haven’t sent one I like, and I occasionally will use the massaging function. I do, however, use the fan and even the cooling feature regularly. They work great, especially I run hot – if you’re the same, it’s practically worth the price of admission alone.

    LiberNovo Omni Pro: Final verdict

This chair is genuinely just about everything I wish a chair could have (within reason) and lives up to the hype. It’s not just a chaotic rush of ads you’ve seen; it’s also a spectacular seat that I don’t see myself swapping out at this desk for a long time.

What’s funny is that, since I work in an office space where I have several coworkers and other people that come through, I’ve had friends, coworkers, and some of my employees try my chair and then immediately turn around and wish that had one.

They find times to come and sit in it while I’m away, of course. Everyone has mentioned how much they love it. So, it’s not just me. And I totally understand that feeling.
