Alongside new superpowered laptops and a MacBook Neo rival, Lenovo has new flagship Yoga Android tablets launching that don’t hold back.

There are two new tablets launching during Innovation World at IFA, both set to be available this month.

Yoga Tab Gen 2 is an 11.1-inch Android tablet with a 4K display, MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, Android 17 out of the box, and an 11,000 mAh battery. It has up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage –with microSD support – and measures just 8.56mm thick.

Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 ups the ante with a 13-inch 4K display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (up to 16GB/512GB + microSD), Android 17, a 12,700 mAh battery, and measures 8.27mm thick.

On the back of each, there’s a little status LED/screen/thing that Lenovo says is mostly decorative, though it can sync with music/videos/games. It’s not quite the same as Google’s “HiLight” on Pixel 11 Pro.

Both tablets get 7 years of Android updates – “through Android 24, as well as up to
seven years of security updates through 2033,” Lenovo details. On the software side, Lenovo is packing these tablets with its AI suite as well as new features with the Tab Pen Pro 2 stylus – Squeeze to Create, Double Tap, Click pen tail to Draw, Double-click pen tail to Record, and Flip to Erase. Both have keyboards, though the Plus gets a neat one-step magnetic keyboard clamshell.

Lenovo says Yoga Tab Gen 2 will cost $729.99 while Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 will cost $999.99.

    More on Lenovo:

    • Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe is a MacBook Neo competitor starting at $699
    • Lenovo’s first RTX Spark laptops can have up to 128GB of RAM
