Android 17 QPR2 Beta 7 is now available for Pixel devices even as testing on QPR3 got underway last week.
Beta 7 addresses the following issues:
- Excessive battery drain during idle states when Flip to Shh prevents the device from entering deep sleep. (Issue #560036427, Issue #569079944)
- HTTPS downloads fail immediately when initiated through the system DownloadManager. (Issue #562833711)

Android 17 QPR2 Beta 7 system images are available for the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel 10a, Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, as well as the Android Emulator.
Sideloading should be the quickest way to immediately Beta 7 on your Beta 6.1 device. At launch, we’re still prompted to install QPR3 Beta 1.
