Google has quietly released a cozy mobile game called Froggy’s World in the vein of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley.

Froggy’s World is accessed by searching “weather” on Google Search and tapping the new ‘play’ icon in the top-right corner of the Knowledge Panel card.

There’s also a direct link here: share.google/refnf9gUiPMARpgJO. This game is only available on mobile and will not appear on desktop.

You help Google’s iconic Weather Frog spruce up their new home, which is the mushroom we’ve previously seen on the Nest Hub and other Smart Displays.

You pull weeds and collect tokens by tapping. The game explains how there are “different types of tokens based on the current weather”: day, night, rain, and snow. They can be exchanged for seeds and other decorative items (lamp posts, statues, etc.) that you plant to liven up your surroundings. This process will take a few days.

There are various characters that you can tap to see dialogue, while “Stash” — the recycling raccoon — is just adorable.

The top left-corner notes your current temperature and wind conditions, as well as a token counter. The settings gear lets you switch Google Accounts (with progress saved between sessions), control the delightful background music, and sound effects. You can also reset your progress with “delete my data” at the bottom.

Game mechanics aside, Froggy’s World is hosted on dailygames.discover.google.com, which we first spotted in 2024.
