Automation Anywhere entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Boost.ai from Nordic Capital, expanding its agentic automation platform into customer-facing conversational and voice AI.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
The acquisition would extend Automation Anywhere’s Autonomous Enterprise strategy by connecting customer and employee conversations directly to the systems, applications, and automated workflows required to complete work.
Automation Anywhere describes the Autonomous Enterprise as an operating model in which business functions can run up to 80% autonomously or with AI assistance.
Boost.ai develops enterprise conversational AI and voice AI technology used by hundreds of organizations, with particular strength in regulated industries such as financial services, telecommunications, and insurance.
Its platform supports more than 36 languages and combines natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI capabilities.
Boost.ai said its technology has achieved resolution rates above 90% in production deployments.
The company has more than 650 deployments, approximately 600 live AI agents, and has supported more than 150 million automated conversations.
Boost.ai customers include Nordea, Credit Union of Colorado, Sage, DNB, and Trading 212.
Automation Anywhere said the acquisition will help create a more complete connection between conversational AI and enterprise execution.
The company sees an opportunity for AI systems to move beyond answering questions or completing isolated tasks and instead take a customer or employee request through an entire business process.
That model could involve understanding a user’s intent, applying company rules, coordinating AI agents and employees, and executing actions across multiple enterprise applications.
Automation Anywhere calls this process the Conversation-to-Outcome Loop.
The planned Boost.ai acquisition follows Automation Anywhere’s acquisition of Aisera in late 2025.
Aisera expanded Automation Anywhere’s enterprise knowledge and automated employee service capabilities, while Boost.ai would add conversational and voice AI focused heavily on customer interactions.
Together, the acquisitions are intended to strengthen Automation Anywhere across three major categories of enterprise work.
Autonomous Customer Operations would connect customer requests from voice, chat, digital channels, and AI agents to the underlying work needed to deliver an outcome.
Autonomous Employee Operations would combine AI-powered employee service with agentic automation to resolve requests across areas such as IT, finance, and human resources while bringing employees into workflows when judgment or exceptions are required.
Autonomous Business Operations would use Automation Anywhere’s agentic automation platform to coordinate business processes across systems including ERP and CRM applications.
The acquisition comes as Automation Anywhere reports increasing adoption of its AI products.
AI-related bookings have represented nearly 70% of new and upsell bookings over the past six quarters, while agentic AI executions have increased 5x over the past year.
Automation Anywhere currently delivers nearly half a billion AI agent and automation executions annually.
The company has more than 4,000 customers in more than 90 countries and works with more than 2,700 partners.
“As we help our customers increase autonomy and maximize return on their AI investments, this acquisition will take our market-leading offering to the next level. Every enterprise runs on three kinds of work: serving customers, supporting employees, and running the business. Most run in isolation. With Automation Anywhere and Boost.ai, we intend to be the leading offering to give every enterprise an autonomous operation that listens, decides, and acts across all three. This is the Autonomous Enterprise in action.”
Mihir Shukla, CEO and Chairman of Automation Anywhere
“Boost.ai’s deep expertise in regulated industries has proven that conversational and voice AI can operate at enterprise scale with the reliability, compliance, and governance that regulated industries require. By joining Automation Anywhere, we can connect the conversation, including voice, directly to the systems and people who get the work done, so a customer’s request is handled from start to finish.”
Jerry Haywood, CEO of Boost.ai
“The real transformation from AI will come when enterprises stop measuring agents and start redesigning how work gets done around outcomes. With Boost.ai, we would complete what we call the Conversation-to-Outcome Loop. A customer or employee expresses what they need; AI understands the intent and context; it reasons within company rules, coordinates agents, people and systems; and finally executes the work across connected enterprise applications and systems required to deliver the outcome.”
Ankur Kothari, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Automation Anywhere
