This week, Apple announced that iOS 27 will be released to everyone on Monday, September 14.

Along with that, the company now says two features included in the iOS 27 betas have been removed and will be released in a “future software update” for <a href="https://myappsplus.com/you-can-now-pre-order-<a href="https://myappsplus.com/att-iphone-18-pro-pro-max-and-iphone-duo-deals-save-up-to-1200-on-trade-ins/” title=”AT&T iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Duo deals: Save up to $1,200 on trade-ins”>iphone-18-pro-and-iphone-18-pro-max/” title=”You can now pre-order iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max”>iPhone: suggestions in Messages and automatic password changes.

Apple updated its website this week to reflect that it has pulled these features from iOS 27 for now. The change also applies to other platforms, including iPadOS 27 and macOS 27. Reddit users had noticed that the automatic password change feature was removed in iOS 27 beta 5, and Apple has now updated its website to confirm that change.

As a refresher, suggestions in the Messages app use the context of a user’s conversation to add things to Reminders, Notes, or Calendar with just a single tap.

Here’s how Apple describes the Passwords feature:

“Fix passwords with a tap: The Passwords app alerts you to weak or compromised passwords and can update them on your behalf without the hassle.”

The Passwords app attempts to go directly to websites where your password is weak or compromised and update them automatically. At WWDC, Apple explained that the feature uses Apple Intelligence and Safari to “agentically take action on your behalf.”

There are no additional details on when these two features will return to iOS 27. Apple’s website simply says they are coming in a “future software update.”
