A specialized exhibition to examine the latest technologies and industrial trends in the textile and sewing industries in one place opened at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
KINTEX announced that “TEX+VISION 2026 (2026 International Textile Sewing Industry Exhibition),” co-hosted by Seoul Messe and Gyeonggi Textile Industry Association, opened at 10 Hall of KINTEX’s 2nd exhibition hall on the 21st.
The exhibition, which will be held for three days until the 23rd, will showcase products and technologies across the textile and sewing industries, including textiles, clothes, printing, leather, laundry, and maintenance.
It is designed to look at the entire industry from material production to processing and management, including yarn, fabric, and functional materials, sewing and production facilities, digital printing, post-processing technology, and laundry and maintenance solutions.
In particular, industrial textiles and high-functioning materials, which are expanding their use to mobility industries such as automobiles beyond the existing clothing and fashion fields, will also be introduced.
Smart manufacturing technology using artificial intelligence (AI) and technology that responds to changes in the textile industry such as eco-friendly production and sustainability are also major exhibition areas.
A business counseling program will also be operated to expand domestic and foreign markets for participating companies. Through one-on-one export consultations with major large fashion clothing vendors and one-on-one order consultations with domestic fashion brands, participating companies will be able to introduce their products and technologies and explore new trading possibilities.
It also plans to set up a separate export consultation meeting for overseas buyers to expand opportunities for domestic textile and sewing companies to enter overseas markets.
Specialized conferences will also be held to share industrial trends and technological innovation directions. The two-day “TEX+VISION Conference 2026” will cover the global textile industry’s response to environmental regulations, circular economy transformation, high-tech industrial fiber development, and AI-based manufacturing innovation.
On the first day, global environmental regulations and strategies to respond to the circular economy, the latest trends in industrial fibers, ultra-high temperature ceramic fiber technology, and a roadmap for developing advanced industrial fibers will be introduced.
On the 22nd, experts will present on smart textiles, AI and 3D data-based manufacturing technologies, and AI transformation of the textile and fashion industry value chain, focusing on functional materials and smart manufacturing.
Practical seminars and educational programs that can be used in industrial sites have also been prepared. Starting with the second half of the Korea Laundry Industry Association’s technical seminar on the 21st, a session will be held on the 22nd to introduce changes in hygiene education and Control Union Korea’s MMS certification standards.
The textile and fashion industry innovation seminar in northern Gyeonggi Province, which will be held from the 22nd to the 23rd, will share information necessary for corporate practice, such as the use of digital fabrics and technology for product development.
Through this exhibition, KINTEX plans to revitalize technology exchanges in the textile and sewing industries and provide business opportunities for participating companies to directly connect with domestic and foreign consumers.
Lee Min-woo, CEO of KINTEX, said, “This exhibition has been designed to introduce materials and manufacturing technologies and to explore new trading opportunities through consultations with domestic and foreign consumers. We will support participating companies and buyers to become practical business platforms that look at changes in the industry and expand business opportunities.”
