Model MLhas expanded its presence in the global financial services sector after BDO India introduced its AI platform into live client engagements, adding another major advisory firm to a customer base that includes PwC and Deloitte.
The adoption follows two major deployments earlier in 2026. PwC began a global rollout of AI agents developed alongside Model ML in July, while Deloitte entered a multi-year agreement to use specialist agents for document review, due diligence and transaction analysis.
The partnerships come as major accounting and consulting firms increase their investment in artificial intelligence. More than $10bn has been committed to AI by the largest firms since 2023, with many expanding employee access to advanced models. However, integrating these tools into everyday client work requires more than simply making AI available to staff. Businesses must also determine which models are best suited to individual tasks, provide the right information and context, check the accuracy of outputs and ensure the results meet their existing delivery requirements.
Model ML’s platform is designed to manage these processes for financial and professional services firms. It distributes work across models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and open-k to assess performance on financial services tasks. The system evaluates models based on accuracy, latency and cost, allowing firms to select the most appropriate option for each job rather than relying on a single AI provider
For BDO India, the implementation was built around existing due diligence processes and client deliverables. This allowed teams to identify opportunities to automate manual work without having to replace established workflows or significantly change how they operate.
The approach follows the model used in its work with PwC and Deloitte, where the technology is configured around specific business requirements and transaction processes.
Founded in 2024, Model ML develops AI infrastructure for financial institutions and advisory firms, automating tasks across research, due diligence, financial analysis and document production. Its customers include HSBC, Santander, FT Partners, PwC and Deloitte, while its consulting business now works with firms across the Big Four and MBB groups.
The company has raised more than $100m in its first 18 months and has a reported valuation exceeding $1bn, as demand grows for AI systems designed around specialist financial workflows.
PwC partner and head of AI deployment Toby Popplewell said, “It has been genuinely fun sitting with the Model ML team over the past few months and working through this side by side as partners. The best part has been the pace and openness of the collaboration. We have been in the room together, testing ideas, challenging each other, seeing feedback turn into product changes incredibly quickly, and pushing hard on what Al can actually do in transaction-related work.” He added, “This is exactly the kind of partnership that moves Al into real capability at scale. We’re incredibly excited for what comes next.”
Deloitte senior partner Udit Gandhi also commented, “We selected Model ML because it’s more than just a generalist tool with a finance skin on it. It helps us do the specific things that we do in an M&A process – document review, diligence analysis. By going model-agnostic, we know that we are getting the best balance of speed and cost,” He added, “There are several AI solutions on the market now focused on the financial services sector. We found Model ML helps us get to better answers.”
Model ML CEO Chaz Englander said, “Consulting firms have the highest volume of research, material creation, and material review in the broader knowledge work industry.” He continued, “We see a huge opportunity to help consultants automate a lot of those workflows with Model ML”
Model ML head of GTM for consulting Raghav Sehgal added, “Since we launched this vertical, we have experienced a strong pull from the market and continue to see unprecedented global demand at some of the world’s largest enterprises,” He added, “It’s incredible to witness the value we can help our clients achieve with AI when they collaborate with us as true partners with a shared ambition.”
