UPDATE (November 3, 2026): Google has fixed the Android Auto issues affecting some Galaxy devices on One UI 9. The company recently confirmedthat the fix is rolling out and should be available to all users soon.
The original article follows.

One UI 9 creates Android Auto connection problems for Galaxy users

The problem isn’t limited to a single Galaxy model. Users with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, S25 Edge, S24 Ultra, Galaxy A55, and other devices have reported similar Android Auto connection errors on One UI 9. However, the issue doesn’t affect everyone. Many Galaxy users can still use Android Auto without any trouble, including some of my colleagues here at SammyGuru.
Interestingly, a Galaxy S25 Edge owner tested different Samsung phones running One UI 8.5, and they connected to Android Auto without issue. However, the same user faced the connection issue after updating a Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 9. This suggests the problem lies in One UI 9 or Android 17, although there’s no official confirmation yet.
The good news is that Google has received reports about the issue. The Android Auto team says the report has been forwarded internally, although there’s no clarity on a fix yet, or even the root cause of the problem. Hopefully, a fix will arrive soon. If you recently updated your Galaxy phone to One UI 9 and are facing issues with Android Auto, keep an eye out for updates.
