The Garmin Vivoactive 5 is down to its lowest price of all time in all four colors for a limited time, making this the least expensive Garmin you can buy today.
Garmin smartwatches are known for a lot of things. Extremely long battery life, epic health stat tracking, universal phone compatibility, and lots of training plans and tracked exercises. But they’re not known for being low-priced or particularly affordable. That is, until today’s Garmin Vivoactive 5 deal came along.
At just $169.99, this Garmin Vivoactive 5 deal brings the watch down to the lowest price it’s ever been. That’s a particularly excellent price since Garmin isn’t pushy with subscription costs the way some other brands can be. Buy your Garmin and use it. That’s the only real cost unless you need something very specific, and Garmin has several subscriptions for somewhat random things.
Garmin’s Vivoactive lineup is made for casual athletes who find themselves running every so often, go to the gym regularly (but aren’t trying to beat Olympic records), and just find workouts to be a healthy part of normal life. Garmin came out with a Vivoactive 6 earlier this year, which retails for $299, and only offers a few advantages that you might care about. And yes, it even supports proper messaging, images, and replies on Android!
Both the Vivoactive 5 and 6 sport the same 11-day battery life, an AMOLED display with 360 x 360 resolution, 5ATM water depth rating, and 23g weight (without the band). The Vivoactive 6 boosts the storage to 8Gb (from 4GB on the Vivoactive 5) and has a new UI, supports Garmin’s Smart Wake feature, and also includes Garmin’s PacePro feature.
Smart Wake is cool, but only people who wear their watch 24/7 will benefit from it. Likewise, running fans may enjoy PacePro, which gives pace guidance throughout a run. I never use offline song downloads for runs, but double the storage could be worth it if you do. If those features aren’t a big deal, this Garmin Vivoactive 5 deal is the best price you’re going to find on a Garmin smartwatch.
