iOS 27.2 is here, and alongside new features for Apple Photos, Messages, and Siri AI, the update also has a welcome addition for Find My: support for Apple TV 4K remotes.

Siri Remote for Apple TV 4K now included in Find My app with iOS 27.2

Find My has long been the <a href="https://myappsplus.com/iphone-duo-vs-iphone-air-which-should-you-choose/” title=”iPhone Duo vs iPhone Air: which should you choose?”>iPhone’s go-to hub for locating people as well as your Apple devices.

Except until now, there’s been one Apple device not included in the app.

The Siri Remote for Apple TV 4K has historically been absent from Find My. There was another way to locate it using the Remote appfeature existed

But with iOS 27.2, Apple TV remotes have now been added to the Find My app for location tracking. Open Find My in iOS 27.2 and go to the Devices tab, and compatible Siri Remotes (2nd gen and later) will now appear there.

It’s nice that Apple finally addressed this oversight, but the timing is no coincidence. That’s because the new Siri Remote (4th gen) is going to make finding a lost remote way easier.

The new remote features Precision Finding support and a built-in speaker. So the next time it’s lost somewhere in your house, your iPhone can direct you step-by-step to its location and trigger a noise to help.

The new Siri Remote is included with the 4th generation Apple TV 4K. But you can also buy it separately for $59 and get the same new features.

The upgraded remote is compatible with all Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models. To benefit from Precision Finding though, you’ll need an iPhone 17 or newer.

Did you know the Remote app offered support for finding a lost remote? Will you use the new feature in Find My? Let us know in the comments.
