Logitech has added a new mouse to its MX Master lineup with the MX Master 4 Developer Edition, and this one keeps the same hardware as the standard model while adding a handful of touches to make it stand out. The biggest change is the custom matte shell, which is covered in laser-etched syntax prompts, circuit-style graphics, markup tags, and other developer-themed details. All-new MX Master 4 Developer Edition mouse now up for grabs
This is still largely the same MX Master 4 Logitech that hit the scene last year, but the Developer Edition gives the shell a lot more personality. The matte finish is covered in laser-etched code snippets, markup tags, circuit-like patterns, and other programming-inspired graphics, with a handful of Easter eggs hidden throughout the design for the devs to spot. Logitech has also worked in references to things like World Programmers’ Day and the Linux kernel, so there’s a bit more going on here than just a simple color swap.
As for the hardware, you still get the same Haptic Sense Panel for customizable feedback when scrolling, switching desktops, adjusting sliders, and more, along with the Actions Ring, which puts shortcuts and app-specific controls right around the cursor through Logi Options+. The Developer Edition also leans into that setup with quick access to custom macros, coding shortcuts, and AI tools.
Notably, the rest of the hardware carries over as well, including Logitech’s MagSpeed wheel that can rip through up to 1,000 lines per second and an 8,000 DPI sensor that works across a wide range of surfaces, including glass.
