Apple’s high-end laptops with the latest processors and PROLED XDR screens are <a href="https://myappsplus.com/apples-most-affordable-new-m6-macbook-pro-is-now-available-for-pre-order/” title=”Apple's most affordable new M6 MacBook Pro is now available for pre-order”>available to preorder.

Apple finally showed off its 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops that have the PROLED XDR display at the October 2026 “Pro and Tell” event. The long-awaited laptops feature a Tandem OLED display with full touch capabilities, while also cutting some weight, and bringing back the glowing Apple logo. While a little less exciting, there’s also an updated 14-inch MacBook Pro that includes Apple’s M6 CPU, along with improved wireless connectivity. Like the generation before it, this is a small, somewhat iterative update, without substantial new features beyond performance gains.

Alongside the MacBook updates, Apple also took the opportunity to update the iMac with M6 chips, which start at $1,499, with the same color variants as the previous generation. Lastly, the iPad Mini got some love, with a larger OLED display that has smaller bezels, as well as water resistance, plus a slimmer and lighter design.

Preorders for the 14-inch MacBook Pro are live at Apple and Best Buy, while the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display is currently only available for preorder at Apple, although we expect Best Buy to follow suit soon. For anyone looking to get their hands on either system, we’ve compiled all the information on configuration options, pricing, and retailer availability below.

Where to order the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display

The new MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR starts at $2,899 for the 14-inch model, or $3,399 for the 16-inch version, and start shipping on Friday, November 6th. There are two CPU options, with each offering an optional upgrade to add more cores. The base 14-inch M5 Pro model starts with 24GB of memory and 1TB of storage, and the upgraded $4,499 14-inch model that has the M5 Max starts with 36GB of memory and 2TB of storage, with maximum memory and storage options depending on CPU choice. There are both space black and silver colors, and the option to upgrade to nano-texture glass for $150.

The biggest new feature here is the PROLED XDR display. In addition to finally adding touch capabilities to the macOS lineup, the screen features a Tandem OLED panel, which Apple says can reach an impressive 2,000 nits at peak brightness, with a 120Hz refresh rate. This update also marks the return of the glowing Apple logo on the back of the shell, a feature that disappeared as the systems slimmed down years ago.

Where to order the latest 14-inch MacBook Pro

The updated 14-inch MacBook Pro ships on Friday, November 6th, and comes in three CPU options. The M6 version with 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage starts at $1,999, the model with the upgraded M5 Pro chip and 24GB of memory and 1TB of storage starts at $2,499, and the top-end model with the M5 Max chip with 36GB of memory and 2TB of storage starts at $4,099.

There are memory and storage upgrades available as well, with up to 32GB of memory and 4TB of storage on the M6 version, and 48GB of memory and 4TB of storage on the M5 Pro. The M5 Max has more limited options, but you can configure it with up to 128GB of memory and 8TB of storage if you also opt for the upgraded CPU. It’s available in both black and silver, with the option to upgrade to the nano-texture display for an extra $150.

Best Buy is currently offering to include a $100 gift card with the purchase of an M6-powered MacBook Pro. The card will automatically appear in your cart under the “Complete your purchase” section.
