Apple TV just debuted the first look at Prodigies, a new series from The White Lotus star Will Sharpe that offers an “unconventional take” on the romantic comedy genre.

Prodigies stars Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri and premieres February 10, 2027

Apple has officially set its Valentine’s Day offering for 2027: a new romantic comedy series named Prodigies.

Prodigies will premiere February 10 with its first two episodes, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday through March 17.

The series stars Will Sharpe (“The White Lotus”) and Ayo Edebiri (“The Bear”), and was created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sharpe.

    Here’s Apple’s official series summary:

“Prodigies” follows Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe), two former child prodigies now in their 30s, as they reexamine the relationship they’ve been in since they were nine. From London to Tokyo by way of Virginia, this unconventional take on a romantic comedy explores ideas of potential, ambition and the universal complexities of long-term relationships. As they begin to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood, they find themselves in a new and terrifying kind of chaos.

The ensemble cast is a strong one, headlined by John Malkovich, Tobias Menzies, Yumi Asō, Maria Bakalova, and more.

Apple’s slate of originals is currently light on romantic comedies, but the talent behind Prodigies gives the show a lot of promise. I’m excited to learn more as February draws closer.

Apple TV is available for $14.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
