Samsung has quietly dropped two Galaxy A series phones from its regular software update list. The Galaxy A04s and Galaxy A23 5G have reached the end of their software support period and are no longer eligible for new updates. If you are using either of these two phones, it may be time to think about upgrading to a newer model.
Two older Galaxy A phones stop receiving updates from Samsung
Samsung launched the Galaxy A04s and Galaxy A23 5G back in 2022. After four years of regular support, the company has now removedboth phones from its security update schedule. Owners should not expect new security releases in the future, let alone feature updates.
This may not sound like a big change, but security updates are important. They fix newly discovered problems and help keep your phone and personal information safer. Without them, the phones can slowly become less protected as new security threats appear, leaving them vulnerable to security attacks.

The good news is that nothing suddenly stops working. Your Galaxy A04s or Galaxy A23 5G will work just fine. It is not necessary to replace your phone right away. You can continue using it normally.
However, the end of regular updates is a good reminder that the phone is getting old. If you keep it for several more years, missing security patches could become a bigger concern. Upgrading to a newer phone could make more sense, not just for new features, but for better security as well. You can check out the latest deals on Samsung smartphones below.
