The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft 16GB is a focused reading device built for people who want the Kindle experience with color on the page, and there’s a solid deal on it right now at Amazon. It uses a 7-inch color E-Ink display, so comic covers, illustrations, and highlighted passages can show up in color while still keeping the paper-like look Kindle readers know.
This model gives you 16GB of storage, USB-C charging, waterproofing, and battery life measured in weeks rather than days. For regular black-and-white reading, the screen is described as sharp, while color has a softer, more muted look typical of color E-Ink rather than a bright tablet display. That makes the Kindle Colorsoft a good fit for readers who want to see book covers, comics, and illustrated content in color without switching to a full tablet.
It’s also a lighter, more focused option than a tablet, which is part of the appeal. Reviews have framed it as a strong pick for dedicated Kindle users who want color, and its 4.5-star rating reinforces that.
The deal is what makes it easier to recommend right now. Amazon has the Kindle Colorsoft 16GB down to $189.99, which is $100 off its $289.99 recommended retail price. That’s a 34% discount relative to the RRP. While it’s not the lowest price we’ve seen this year, it is the lowest price in months, which makes this a good time to grab it if color reading has been on your wishlist.
