A huge monitor can change how your desk works, especially when you want one screen for gaming, work, and everything in between. The Samsung Odyssey G9 is built for that kind of setup, and there’s a strong deal on it at Amazon right now.
The Samsung Odyssey G9 has dropped to $649.99 at Amazon, down from its $999.99 recommended retail price. That’s a 35% discount relative to the RRP, saving you $350. It’s also a record-low price on Amazon, so it’s a great time to buy.
This 49-inch super-ultrawide gaming monitor offers a 32:9 aspect ratio and Dual QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440. Samsung positions it as a display that can replace two 27-inch QHD screens side by side, making it a strong fit for anyone who likes to keep many windows open or wants a wider view in games. The 1000R curve is designed to wrap more of the screen around your field of view, which can be especially nice for racing games, other fast-paced titles, and multitasking.
You also get a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, along with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support and HDR600 capability. For hookups, it includes HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB, and the ergonomic stand adds useful adjustability to fit such a wide panel in your space. Amazon shoppers also give it a solid 4.4-star rating.
