Is Android 17 QPR1 causing issues on your Pixel?

Android 17 QPR1 has been hitting Pixel phones this week as part of the September Pixel Drop. The update introduces a handful of minor upgrades, but some users are having a worse experience than others. As tends to happen around major updates, there’s been an uptick in users reporting new bugs and unexpected behavior on their Pixel devices for the past few days.

Issues reported around Reddit include problems with the display, touch input failures, weird UI behavior, hits to performance, connectivity problems, and more. For those of you who have installed the latest update on your Pixel phones, we wanted to ask: how’s your experience been so far?

Do you have any new problems on your Pixel after installing Android 17 QPR1?

It’s always hard to tell how widespread tech issues reported online actually are. A handful of complaints can look significant (and for the users making those reports, it certainly is), but with millions of Pixel phones in circulation, it’s possible and even likely that the people experiencing fresh problems after installing Android 17 QPR1 are only a small fraction of the user base.

Issues reported cover just about everything that could go wrong with a phone, and we don’t know for sure that Android 17 QPR1 is the culprit in every case. Anecdotally, I’m not having any problems with my Pixel 9 Pro after updating, but I may just be lucky.

Are you having issues on Android 17 QPR1? Did the update make issues that existed before worse? More optimistically, did updating to Android 17 QPR1 solve any problems you were experiencing before the update? Enter your response in the poll above and talk it out down in the comments.
