Dbrand is definitely best-known for its flashy skins and bombastic personality, but the company is now launching a more subtle brand in “MNML,” aiming to offer dead-simple cases that are comfortable and have good quality. These are available for the latest Pixel 11 Pro phones and, in person, they certainly get the job done.

Available in four colors – black, navy, tan, and burgundy – MNML cases are true to their (shortened) name. The case lacks any notable branding outside of the four letters off to the side. The buttons have a metallic finish, while the case itself is a polymer material with a rough texture.

In the hand, it’s grippy without being too grippy – looking at you, Google and Samsung – while not being overly thick either. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been going caseless more and more often, but this is exactly the sort of case I would want to use, as it’s not adding a ton of unnecessary bulk.

On Pixel 11 Pro XL, the cutouts and fit are both absolutely perfect – it helps that there’s no SIM tray to worry about, which I recently found out dbrand bafflingly leaves inaccessible in its full-coverage skins (this is dumb). The buttons are clicky, though the chunky shape and size feels a little weird to the touch. I wish the power button had a different texture so as to stand out.

The built-in magnets are very strong too, perhaps even more so than the array already found in Pixel 11 Pro.

These are dead simple cases, and in a way an upgraded version of the infamous Spigen Thin Fit. It feels better than the Thin Fit usually does while having 10% more personality in its colors.

At $40 a pop (discounted if you buy multiple), it’s not cheap. But it’s a good case across the board, so you won’t regret picking one up.
