Gaming laptops have come a long way from the enormous, bulky machines that were once a nightmare to carry around. These days, you can get a surprisingly powerful gaming laptop in a relatively slim and portable design, without having to compromise too much on performance. And that’s good news for anyone who wants a machine that can handle their everyday work just as comfortably as it can run the latest games.

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50-series Laptop GPUs make that proposition even more interesting. Built on the Blackwell architecture, these GPUs offer significant graphics performance alongside AI-powered technologies such as DLSS 4, which can improve frame rates in supported games, and NVIDIA Reflex, which helps reduce system latency. They also provide GPU acceleration for creative applications, including video editing, 3D rendering and other demanding workloads. So, whether you’re working on a complicated project, editing videos for your social media channels, or simply want to unwind with the latest AAA game, an RTX-powered gaming laptop has plenty to offer.

Of course, not everyone needs the same kind of machine. Some might prefer something lightweight enough to carry around every day, while others would happily trade a little portability for a more powerful GPU, a larger display and better cooling. Thankfully, there are plenty of options across different price points, and gaming laptop designs have become increasingly refined over the years.

And if you’re planning to upgrade your laptop, a good sale can make that decision a whole lot easier. Jarir Bookstore in Saudi Arabia regularly offers deals across its gaming laptop range, making it worth keeping an eye on its RTX-powered machines. We’ve rounded up nine RTX 50-series gaming laptops worth checking out, ranging from affordable RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 machines to a rather extravagant RTX 5090 laptop for those who want some serious gaming performance.

    Acer Nitro V 15 – RTX 5060

Discounted Price: SAR 4,799 | Original Price: SAR 6,199 | Save SAR 1,400

The Acer Nitro V is one of the more affordable ways to get into NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series ecosystem without spending a small fortune. At SAR 4,799, it’s also the cheapest laptop in our selection, and the SAR 1,400 discount makes it all the more appealing.

This configuration comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 170 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8GB of VRAM, 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. The 15.6-inch Full HD display offers a 165Hz refresh rate, which should be particularly useful for competitive games where smoother motion and responsiveness matter.

Design-wise, the Nitro V takes a relatively straightforward approach. It’s not particularly extravagant or covered in excessive RGB lighting, and its roughly 2.1kg weight makes it reasonably manageable for a gaming laptop with dedicated graphics. You still get a proper gaming machine that can tackle modern titles with the help of DLSS, while having enough processing power for everyday productivity and creative work.

The 512GB SSD might fill up quickly if you plan on installing several large games, but at this price, the Nitro V is a pretty attractive starting point.

    Lenovo Legion 5 – RTX 5050

Discounted Price: SAR 5,699 | Original Price: SAR 8,599 | Save SAR 2,900

Lenovo’s Legion 5 is where things start getting particularly interesting, especially if portability is high on your list of priorities. The laptop has a comparatively slim chassis measuring under 20mm thick and starts at around 1.87kg, which is impressive considering the kind of hardware it accommodates.

The configuration available at Jarir features an AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor, an RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB VRAM, 16GB RAM and a generous 1TB SSD. You also get a 15.3-inch display in a compact 16:10 form factor, providing a little more vertical screen space than a conventional widescreen panel. That extra space can be helpful when working on documents, editing videos or simply keeping multiple applications open.

While the RTX 5050 sits at the entry point of NVIDIA’s latest GPU lineup, it still supports technologies such as DLSS Multi Frame Generation in compatible games. That gives it an additional performance advantage when playing demanding titles, particularly when paired with sensible graphics settings.

However, what makes the Legion 5 particularly attractive is its discount. Originally priced at SAR 8,599, the promotional price of SAR 5,699 represents a substantial SAR 2,900 saving. That’s one of the largest percentage discounts in our selection, and makes this slim gaming laptop quite difficult to ignore.

    Lenovo LOQ 15 – RTX 5060

Discounted Price: SAR 6,399 | Original Price: SAR 6,999 | Save SAR 600

If you’d rather have a little more graphics performance, Lenovo’s LOQ 15 is another interesting option. It takes a slightly more conventional approach to gaming laptop design than the Legion series, but still manages to keep things relatively compact with a 15.3-inch display and a chassis that starts at approximately 2.1kg.

Under the hood, you get an AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor paired with an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. The 15.3-inch IPS screen features a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, giving you a good balance between sharpness and smoothness without being unnecessarily demanding on the GPU.

The RTX 5060 is the main attraction here. It provides more graphics headroom than the RTX 5050, which can be useful when playing modern AAA games with higher graphics settings or using GPU-accelerated creative applications. With DLSS and Multi Frame Generation available in supported titles, you also have some flexibility to balance visual quality and frame rates.

At SAR 6,399, down from SAR 6,999, the LOQ 15 isn’t carrying the biggest discount in this roundup, but the combination of an RTX 5060 and a relatively portable 15-inch design makes it worth considering.

    HP Victus 15 – RTX 5060

Not everybody wants their laptop to announce itself as a gaming machine the moment they pull it out of their bag. The HP Victus 15 takes a more restrained approach, with a relatively clean design that looks just as appropriate in an office or a coffee shop as it does on a gaming desk.

The model available at Jarir features an Intel Core 7 240H processor, an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, 24GB DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD. That extra helping of memory is particularly welcome, especially if you’re someone who likes to keep several applications open while working. Whether you’re juggling browser tabs, editing a project or running creative software in the background, having 24GB RAM gives you a little more breathing room than the usual 16GB configurations.

The 15.6-inch display provides plenty of room for both work and entertainment, while the RTX 5060 offers the graphics capabilities needed for modern games and supported AI-accelerated workloads. HP has also kept the overall styling fairly understated, which should appeal to anyone looking for a laptop that can serve multiple purposes without looking overly flashy.

The Victus 15 carries a promotional price of SAR 6,599, reduced from SAR 8,999, representing a rather healthy SAR 2,400 saving.

    HP HyperX OMEN 15 – RTX 5060

Discounted Price: SAR 7,499 | Original Price: SAR 9,499 | Save SAR 2,000

HP’s HyperX OMEN 15 is aimed at those who want something a little more sophisticated than a conventional budget gaming laptop. It combines a comparatively compact 15.3-inch design with considerably capable hardware, without resorting to the enormous chassis that high-performance gaming laptops were once notorious for.

This configuration features an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8GB VRAM, 24GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. The HX-series processor is particularly interesting if you intend to use the laptop for more demanding tasks beyond gaming, such as video editing, compiling large projects or CPU-intensive creative applications.

The OMEN’s high-resolution, high-refresh-rate display options also make the series attractive for someone who wants a laptop that can double as an entertainment device. And with NVIDIA’s RTX 5060, you get access to ray tracing, DLSS and GPU acceleration in supported creative applications.

More importantly, the OMEN manages to package all of this into a reasonably compact 15-inch footprint, making it practical enough to carry between home, work and wherever else you might need to get some things done.

Originally listed at SAR 9,499, the HyperX OMEN 15 has been advertised for SAR 7,499, saving you SAR 2,000.

    Lenovo Legion 5 OLED – RTX 5060

We’re returning to the Legion 5, but this time with a more powerful RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. And if you appreciate a good display as much as you do gaming performance, this particular configuration has plenty going for it.

It features a 15.3-inch OLED display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. OLED panels are fantastic for gaming and watching movies thanks to their deep blacks, near-instantaneous response times and vibrant colours. But they can be equally useful for creative work, especially if you’re editing photographs or videos and want a display with excellent colour reproduction.

Paired with the AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD and RTX 5060 GPU, the Legion 5 provides a solid combination of performance and display quality. The RTX 5060 also gives you additional room to push graphics settings at the laptop’s native resolution, with DLSS available to help improve performance in supported games.

And as we mentioned earlier, the Legion 5’s design is another major strength. Its approximately 1.87kg starting weight and slim chassis make it one of the more portable gaming laptops in this selection, which is a nice advantage if you’re going to be carrying it around regularly.

The Legion 5 OLED has been advertised at SAR 7,999, down from SAR 9,299, giving you a SAR 1,300 discount.

    HP HyperX OMEN 15 – RTX 5070

If you’re looking to step up to the RTX 5070 without jumping into five-figure pricing, the HyperX OMEN 15 is worth a look. This higher-end configuration pairs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, giving it plenty of processing power for demanding games and creative applications.

It comes with 16GB DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD and a 15.3-inch display, retaining the relatively compact form factor of the more affordable OMEN models. The RTX 5070 is particularly useful if you’re planning to play newer titles at higher resolutions, especially those with demanding ray tracing effects. NVIDIA’s DLSS technologies can further help maintain smoother frame rates, while the GPU’s acceleration capabilities also extend to video editing, rendering and compatible AI applications.

The Core Ultra 9 processor is another welcome addition. With its high core count, it’s well suited to heavier multitasking and workloads that can take advantage of additional CPU performance. That makes the OMEN an interesting option for professionals working with demanding software, content creators, or anyone who wants a gaming laptop that can comfortably double as a serious work machine.

The best part, however, is the price reduction. A SAR 2,700 discount brings its original SAR 11,499 price down to a much more approachable SAR 8,799.

    Lenovo Legion 7i – RTX 5070

Discounted Price: SAR 10,999 | Original Price: SAR 13,699 | Save SAR 2,700

The Lenovo Legion 7i is perhaps one of the best examples of how much gaming laptops have evolved over the years. Despite packing some seriously powerful hardware, Lenovo has managed to squeeze everything into an elegant 16-inch chassis that measures approximately 15.9–17.9mm thick and weighs under 2kg.

That’s impressive for a laptop featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. It also comes with a gorgeous 16-inch OLED display, offering a 2560 x 1600 resolution and refresh rates of up to 240Hz, making it equally attractive for gaming, content consumption and creative applications.

The extra screen space is useful for productivity, while the combination of OLED and a high refresh rate should make games look particularly impressive. And with an RTX 5070 handling the graphics, you’ll have enough GPU performance to enjoy demanding titles with the assistance of DLSS and ray tracing features.

What makes the Legion 7i so interesting, however, is that it doesn’t demand the same physical space as a traditional high-end gaming laptop. Its sleek aluminium construction and relatively lightweight chassis make it well suited to those who want premium hardware without having to lug around an enormous machine.

The Legion 7i has been advertised at SAR 10,999, down from SAR 13,699, representing a SAR 2,700 saving.

    Lenovo Legion Pro 7i – RTX 5090

Discounted Price: SAR 18,699 | Original Price: SAR 23,999 | Save SAR 5,300

And finally, for those who want to go all out, there’s the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i. This is the sort of laptop you buy when you’re not particularly interested in compromising on gaming performance, and you want a machine that’s capable of handling just about anything you can reasonably throw at it.

The configuration available at Jarir comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, NVIDIA’s flagship RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with a whopping 24GB GDDR7 VRAM, 64GB RAM and a 2TB SSD. That’s an enormous amount of processing and graphics power for a laptop, and considerably more than most people would ever need for their everyday work. But if you’re involved in game development, 3D animation, video production or working with demanding creative applications, that kind of hardware could prove useful.

The Legion Pro 7i also features a 16-inch OLED display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. Lenovo has packed all of this into a comparatively contained 16-inch design, with an advanced cooling system to keep the powerful components running at their intended performance levels. It’s an impressive engineering exercise, especially considering the thermal demands of a flagship GPU such as the RTX 5090.

Naturally, the Legion Pro 7i is the most expensive laptop in our selection, but it also carries the largest outright discount. Originally priced at SAR 23,999, its promotional price of SAR 18,699 represents a substantial SAR 5,300 saving.

It’s certainly an extravagant purchase, but if you want a laptop that can handle demanding creative work during the day and high-end gaming once you’re done, the Legion Pro 7i has an awful lot of hardware to offer.
