Apple has rolled out its latest iOS 27.2 update for iPhones and iPads, featuring expanded language support and improved memory functions for Siri AI, suggestions in messages, and Apple Pencil support for the foldable iPhone Duo.

Siri AI will apparently not be limited to the new HomePod mini 2, with support also coming to the first-generation HomePod mini in a software update later this year, according to a report today from CNET’s Jeff Carlson.

Apple today introduced the HomePod mini 2, but the full-sized HomePod was not updated. Nevertheless, the alt text for Apple’s full-sized HomePod image shown at the bottom of the HomePod order page now mentions a “multi-colored Siri AI glow on top,” suggesting that the larger HomePod might eventually gain support for Siri AI.

Despite featuring an A18 chip and built-in Apple Intelligence support, Apple’s new HomeView still depends on a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad for several features.

In May, Apple agreed to pay $250 million to settle a U.S. class action lawsuit over Siri AI’s delayed launch, and the settlement website is now live.
